8:32 it was an incredible show. The Apollo audience is not an easy one to please and they went nuts over her. Music is universal how it goes across boundaries that real emotion. British soul! She grew up on Barry White and Diana Ross music! I was surprised to hear her heavy northern accent that doesn't come out in her singing as pronouncedly.

That Apollo performance was 🔥. Easily top 5 of all time. That lil side bop she did was EVERYTHING!! and the crowd LOVED her!

I would say it's the American singers that lose their accent when they sing except for country music artists ! Maybe it's just a beautiful song that evokes emotions in all of Lisa's true fans regardless of who they are. I was a little girl when this song came out & I certainly hadn't experienced any of the things that the couple in the song/video had, but I sure had relatives & friends who were experiencing it & I empathized with them.

Why are people so obsessed with celebrities who have or have not plastic surgery? If they want to go under the knife, it's their prerogative. They are paying for their own surgery not you!!! And if they don't have plastic surgery and they look old or wrinkled, people would comment "Oh time wasn't good to her", "Oh she's a druggie", "Oh she's not taking care of herself", blah blah blah....Just be glad that their idol is still around to entertain us and support them if you appreciate what they do!!! I am not against plastic surgery but I think there are reasonable limitations to everything.
