Short online read from 2013 Artemis and the End of Us: Evangelical Errors Regarding Women. Fox River Christian Church also did an excellent two part series on women in ministry called shout out found on KZfaq. Both filled with biblical and historical references presented in a fun and digestible way.

My thoughts changed only after Holy Spirit Convicted me when I was judging a woman preacher for her being a woman in ministry. Than Lord told me, “ you are a woman too… “I was convicted immidiately because I walk in prophetic over 20 years with most spiritual gifts mentioned in Corinthians. I still had that old religious nature in me that judged others, but was holding me blind to see myself. I love this topic ❤Thank you for your video!

As a previous woman pastor, I have had a lot of people share their criticism with me including even women who completely disagree with women teaching in church. An elder of a church once told me the reason they don't have women in ministry was because Eve was the first to sin so women are innately "wicked". Some people have some seriously bizarre views on this topic and it has been such a toxic issue in the church which is crazy to me!!! Thank you for speaking out about this Lisa!!! I hope many women are encouraged and enlightened by this episode

I agree with you of the importance of the voice of women without undermining the men but giving the loving point of view of a mother that wants the best for her children. Spititually we are the same there is no gender. And Jesus came to give us that through his sacrifice for all who have Him as our saviour! Thanks Lisa for speaking up and help us women to in a loving way help others:

Why does nobody anywhere mention Acts 2:17 "’In the last days, God says, I will pour out my Spirit on all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your young men will see visions, your old men will dream dreams.18 Even on my servants, both men and women, I will pour out my Spirit in those days, and they will prophesy. I'm going to look into Acts again. I think the version is important in some of these cases. But also what constitutes the last days? Usually as I know that term Biblically it means after the rapture or right before it....and we cannot know when that is. Jesus says so. Prophesing is different from what they are talking about here. I don't feel convicted yet one way or the other but I appreciate your comment so I can remember to look into this! ❤

I still didn't see any Biblical verses in the video stating that as acceptable or not, do you perhaps know of any that do? I seek more clarity about it. ❤ I love women's groups and I do have Bible study that way a lot, just not only that way. I do believe in the importance of always seeking out what a man I trust thinks about it. Namely my husband. And if course I pray and seek Jesus' above all. Until I know more I'd definitely be uncomfortable with a service that has a woman as a minister or preacher. But I'm open to the idea. I know most churches still partake in Christmas and Easter and those are vehemently non-Biblical. Actually anti-Christian in many ways. So it baffles me, needless to say I have many reasons I don't just trust church sermons anymore. 😅 I have two online churches I like to "attend" and am always a part of THE Church and love opportunities to evangelize (though I don't call myself an evangelical)...I don't know if evangelizing and apologetics is the same as preaching. I don't see it as such. So there's just a difference. I would like more conviction about it.

Phoebe was a deconess in Rome. Junia and her husband were apostles.Priscilla was his coworker... This is Romans 16. In Corinthians, Paul was addressing the women in that church slecifically. This was exegisis based on culture relativity and heurmanuetics...this was written specifically to church at Corinth...and to Timothy he reiterated that women dont need to teach men or speak in church at that church. They were told they should have their head covered. It was said in Jude1? It was because of the fallen angels and nephilim. If men are offended it means you need a culture that will accept you and your gifts and calling. Not every church culture can handle women in leadership or ministry with men.

@@TheSacredShade Thank you for your reply. I believe that understanding the truth about men and women would not be a problem if first we all understood that both men and women have absolutely no standing in the face of God's unalterable justice - and our being sinners - if not for the righteousness of Christ - which we can only receive in exchange for our death. If we are dead we have zero rights - we have no voice - no right to self-expression. The problem isn't that women are not allowed to preach - the problem is that some men preach as if ignorant of what I just explained.

@philipbenjamin4720
@philipbenjamin4720 2 ай бұрын
Christianity IS bondage. It is freedom IN slavery - not freedom FROM slavery. Christ is the perfect sacrifice - which means that from the day he is born to the day he died he submitted to his Father in all things. He did not assert his rights (Phil 2:6). Being saved is becoming united with that same Jesus in his death - rising to a new life in which we have no rights (we are dead - a dead person has no rights) - in which God gives us the ability to please him in all things. Luke 14:26 reveals that if a person who professes a faith has even a single idol they aren't a disciple of Jesus - they aren't saved. “If anyone comes to me and does not hate his own father and mother and wife and children and brothers and sisters, yes, and even his own life, he cannot be my disciple". (The good news is that instead of us having to produce repentance - we must instead turn to God in faith (faith that God has earned the right to our total worship in his perfect self-giving character). If God judges our faith to be authentic - a true turning away from faith in ourselves - he gives us the GIFT of repentance (see Acts 11:18, 2 Tim 2:25)). So then the way to know if we are truly saved is not that we profess a faith - but that our lives are completely free of idols. If we understand we will speak as if we do not have any rights before God - including 'the right to self expression').

One really important thing we need to consider is the way Paul talks about the spiritual relationship between a woman and her husband, and how that connects to the church. Paul describes the church as the bride, and Christ as the husband. So just like the bride is supposed to seek the wisdom and leadership of her groom, the woman in the church should be looking at her physical "husband" , the way her physical husband is looking at his spiritual husband - Christ - looking for guidance, rather than trying to be the one in charge. Another key point is that being a preacher or leader in the church is just one part of what it means to be an elder. Elders are also called to serve the church in all kinds of ways, and they even have to be willing to die for the church and for Christ's name. Which happened and is happening today in places where the church is being persecuted. But a married woman's primary calling is often to have a family and raise children. And she's supposed to be willing to sacrifice for and "die" for her family, just like the elders do for the church. So if you let a woman have the same kind of authority as an elder, she gets all the privileges of that role, but doesn't have to shoulder the same heavy burdens. As Jesus coined succinctly in Luke 12:48 " But he who did not know, yet committed things deserving of stripes, shall be beaten with few. For everyone to whom much is given, from him much will be required; and to whom much has been committed, of him they will ask the more. What is given ? clearly it includes authority. If you are given much authority , much will be required of you . Yes a woman can instruct her children, help guide other women, serve the church in so many ways . Even evangelise on a day to day basis. There are so many things a woman can do as a part of the body of christ that are as important as preaching with authority. Paul is talking about each having their own gifts in christ. And they should use them. Some prophecy, some are healers, some are really good at prayer and so on . The point is to be meek and humble and do your part the best way you can and with all love as a part of the body of christ. And speaking of meekness . One of the things Paul was concerned about in a woman preaching, was that this pursuit would, pull her away from meekness towards self importance , or at least would present this strong temptation. The aspiration for us as christians is to not cause our brothers and sisters to stumble in temptation, which they will eventually not be able to overcome, and cause them, to develop a false jesus in their heart and mind.

It's very important to not take the 1 Timothy passage out of context. It is rarely taught on correctly, so I understand why people act like it is so black and white. But, to say "the bible says" or "the truth is" feels naive at best. The Bible also shows Paul partnering with multiple women church leaders, Chloe, Priscilla, Phoebe, to name a few. A third of Romans 16 are women listed and I have never heard it preached that way. Pastors don't even know, it has been so buried in poor English translations for so long. Jesus privately spoke with women and then counted on them to spread the word, examples include the virgin birth, the woman at the well announcing that He was the Messiah and the women at the tomb. If we were to remain silent, those major pillars in the Christian faith could have been lost. Paul and Jesus appear to not "practice what they preach". When the Bible appears to contradict itself then we have to dig deeper. What was the original Greek? What was the historical context? Timothy seems to be asking Paul for help with a list of problems in his churches. Paul specially addresses one man and one woman in this passage, a couple in Timothy's church, not a plural group. The Greek word used here for "authority" is a brutally oppressive, domineering word. Most people would not say that women ever get to treat men like this. It's a straw man's argument to say that this means a woman cannot speak with authority over any man in church. Any time any Christian speaks God's truth, they speak with God's authority, not their own anyway. These churches were filled with uneducated women who were trained in the pagan religion of worshipping Artemis, a Greek goddess who said that Eve was created first and therefore can dominate and even hunt men. Paul is setting the creation story straight. Adam was created first. However, that is a huge leap to say that is proof of why women cannot speak. Elephants were created before man, but that doesn't mean they have authority over them. Men and women were given the Great Commission, all are called priests, all are given the spiritual gifts, all are told by Paul to prophesy and pray in the church setting for the benefit of the entire Body. The church is described as the family of God, if only the fathers are allowed to ever address the family, isn't this akin to something like a gay marriage, which even unbelievers will argue isn't the best setting for raising children in? Mothers will always bring in another perspective in a family that reflects the feminine aspects of the image of God and strengthens everyone listening. At the very least, one could say this topic of women speaking in church is controversial. And if you have to choose a side, choose the side that has the potential to save the most souls, to cultivate the most fruit and disperse the workload of the harvest.

There is absolutely nothing within 1 Timothy itself which would lead anyone to conclude that Paul's directives there are in response to a specific issue with the Ephesian church. On the contrary - the reasons Paul gives for why women should not teach men are both universal (verses 13 and 14) - both out of Genesis - not out of the Ephesian Times! While your argument is that those verses - which are two reasons - namely that Adam was created before Eve - and Eve wasthe first to be deceived - are relevant to who should or shouldn't domineer who - yes? Who would have thought that Adam being created before Eve relates to women in Ephesus being domineering! You make it sound as if the only place in the bible which provides insight into the role of men and women is 1 Timothy 2. Not so. What about Genesis 2? What about Ephesians 5? What about 1 Timothy 3? What about Titus 1? What about 1 Peter 3? That's quite an effort - you failed to mention ANY of those passages but you did mention Romans 16 - proving that if someone wants to believe something they will no doubt do so. Do you believe that ANY person whose bible is in their language is able to read the bible and reach right conclusions about the heart of God? Of course you don't - you just quoted from some book by someone with a PhD who makes it their life work to tell us why what the bible plaining says it doesn't mean INSTEAD of receiving the combined teaching of scripture on man and woman.

Your voice and my voice die the day that we choose to be united with Christ in his death. Believers no longer live - they have no rights - their bodies are temples in which the Holy Spirit lives. The Holy Spirit is God - the idea that any person or group can stop the Spirit from speaking in us and through us is nonsense. God is not limited by anyone. (The opposite view is a kind of Christian nationalism - "unless Christians occupy particular positions their voice will be suppressed"). The problem isn't that women aren't supposed to preach - the problem is that when some men preach they preach as those who imagine they still have a voice.

Also the fact that Adam also failed not only Eve. I'm pretty sure God gets just as angry with him if not more so, as he was the head of them and to be not "Lording" over her but to be someone to direct her when he sees her doing something wrong. My husband even surprised me but being very adamant about this. (No pun intended..."adamant?" 😅) That he feels Adam is actually more guilty than Eve in this sense. More accountable. I think they are equally accountable or Adam slightly more so given that role. We are created with different sets of hormones. When we have healthy hemostasis it's obvious. We are all called to be kind but in different ways. Women are better at being gentle and patient it seems. To rear children primarily, and to be so with our husbands as well as they can get stuck in protection mode etc. There's a healthy give and take when we follow God's plan. But for sure is always surprising when people knee-jerk to mistreatment in the name of Christianity, it doesn't make sense. I'm glad she's here to tell us about it! ❤ She's not a victim she's strong as a daughter of YHWH.

I am so glad that the Holy Spirit was not against women peaching the gospel because if He wasn't working, I would not likely have responded. One of the most succinct and timeless teachings in the bible is by a woman and is recorded in John 2:5. This is obviously with God's authorisation, or otherwise He would have told John to remove it from his gospel. Interestingly, Numbers 22:30 records where God used an ass to try and speak correction to a prophet. God is sovereign and can use whoever or whatever he wants: to speak through, including rocks (Luke 19:40).

A woman could only be given the authority by God to execute a man for his sin, if women are spiritually equal to men. A Judge could judge homicide cases according to Deuteronomy. Therefore Deborah, as a Judge, could execute a man for his sin. A Judge's verdict could not be altered or appealed. A Judge was cleared to teach from scripture as he/she gave a verdict, according to Deuteronomy. Since in Judges 4, men went to Deborah to be judged, a woman could teach men, even in the Old Covenant in a public setting. A Judge was REQUIRED in scripture to judge only the hardest of cases. Refusal to accept a Judge's verdict on any matter, resulted in execution, according to Deuteronomy. If your beliefs can't explain all this, they must be false.

This question is tough. Is the pastor's wife also a pastor? How do you classify Joyce Meyer? My pastor used to say that you can only preach after you performed 20 funerals and visit 1,000 people in the hospital. Everyone wants to do the popular job, talking. No one wants to visit someone in the hospital or visit a poor Neiborhood's. Should women visit people in the hospital and minister in poor Neiborhood's? My pastor's wife is a big star. She likes to speak in conferences and charge good money. In the church she doesn't even say "hi".

I love the mention of who is head of the church? THIS one hits home for a ton of issues in the churches, since Catholicism at least. Jesus is the head of the church. THE church. My husband is the head of our household. The thing is he is called to love me like Jesus loves the church.... that's an incredible standard to aim for. ❤ It also means he has kore accountability. Throughout the Bible there are outright lessons about being held accountable with the more power, authority, and knowledge one has. Women having less authority in these places is a protection IMO. We can still be harmed here, we trust in the protection of our spirit and the eternal. But there are also thoae spiritual battles and the physical world we have to grow in at this time, that is affected by Satan and his minions. I trust in Jesus. But he has lessons for what is healthy and what is not...for what is worth fighting for and worth risking for and what is not. We are even told not to be foolish in situations that are unnecessary and not what we as individuals are called to do. Sometimes it's harder to take a step back and accept a role that might be less public or less outspoken. I believe if we lsten to the holy spirit and study the Bible it will become clear. 📜🙌🕊️ I appreciate Lisa Bev so much, though I've only just come across her in a few videos. I don't see her as a preacher etc, but I also wish I would understand better the specifics of what the Bible says. I'll have to look into Acts. I do like the video about authority as women, with Jesus. That made sense to me. But there are different forms of authority. As it sits now, a Bible study led by a woman is different to me than a woman minister. I would avoid a service that had such until knowing more from the Word. ❤ But I also won't attend a church with Christmas and Easter celebrations, as that is not Biblical. No one is perfect and no service would be I'm sure. But I am not comfortable entertaining things the Bible is specifically against. As far as I knew it's against women ministers but need to dig. I oove the info about the pulpit history. Interested in more.

Is it possible to understand the bible without buying 'manuals' to go with it? How often? All of the time? None of the time? Some of the time? Is it dangerous for a twelve year old to open their bible and read 1 Timothy 2 without someone being there to tell them that what anyone would consider to be the plain meaning of it is the very opposite of what the chapter means? Egalitarianism is elitism. Do you agree that if we need the help of pointy headed people with PhD's to understand man and woman that proves that God is unfair in creating people with varying intellectual capacity? Is receiving God's heart for man and woman a head exercise?

Order in the house of the Lord is just like the order in the house of a man. You need a male figure as a headship, a woman as ideal helpers. Ideal helpers are also leaders, at home and at a church. All over the Bi le, women are phrophets, teaches, evangelizes, but no where in the Bible, the women is the head. A church requires the top pastor to be thst male figure who will give his life for the bride like Christ give his life for His life. Lets be leaders as we are meant to be, different to men. Lets not confuse that with head pastorship.

The bible reminds us to be in the spirit of love, Which is godly love it is not a self love. It is a love that is taught to encourage and elevate others as we want to be encouraged and elevated. The culture is different now than it was back in biblical times. Jesus had a number of women in his ministry. That's why whenever we read scripture, we need to not only read it by the written letter but we also need to read it.Asking the Holy Spirit to illuminate things to us. So that we may understand the contest correctly. It's funny how people will listen to their own mother.But they won't listen to a lady many times that is presiding over a meeting when many times she may be more qualified. But at the same time that doesn't mean that we demasculate men. So there needs to be a healthy balance where we help each other. We lift up each other and like the Bible says we bear one another's burdens.

What is a Church that says "See Heaven" "You are" "See Heaven" it is your body to be silent within to hear gods truth and not the times. Men and woman should be silent in the church is the same truth as "Woman should be silent in the church" use the laws of god and not common concepts to be silent in your church and "Preach" u "P reach each see heaven.

This video gave me a lot of hope coming into it, coming out it doesn’t address the silence of women specifically at church. I’ve really been wrestling with understanding God’s morals when it comes to this because I look up to so many female preachers. The title caught my eye but it isn’t going into depth at all on Corinthians 14. We know God pours His spirit on all peoples, we know we are all called and chosen, we know women are judges, prophetesses, supporters of the early Christian movement. This is completely different than preaching in front of the body of Christ. Unless you are going to be so lax as to what defined “church” in that verse and extend judging prophesying and being a helper as applying to a woman using her voice at church. Are there any female figures in the Bible that indicate specifically that there really have been women preachers?

you wrote: Are there any female figures in the Bible that indicate specifically that there really have been women preachers? A woman could only be given the authority by God to execute a man for his sin, if women are spiritually equal to men. A Judge could judge homicide cases according to Deuteronomy. Therefore Deborah, as a Judge, could execute a man for his sin. A Judge's verdict could not be altered or appealed. Refusal to accept a Judge's verdict on any matter, resulted in execution, according to Deuteronomy. A Judge was cleared to teach from scripture as he/she gave a verdict, according to Deuteronomy. Since in Judges 4, men went to Deborah to be judged, a woman could teach men, even in the Old Covenant in a public setting. All this and more is in my free postable essay on Deborah. Read time: 12 minutes Also, the Judges were described by God as pastors/shepherds. So Deborah was the primary shepherd, technically shepherdess, over God's people at about 1100 B.C. I also have a short post on the 'women must be silent' matter. Read time:

@@lightpinksalt Sorry for the delay. I received no notification. The next 2 posts will be the essay on Deborah. I appreciate your interest. Part 11 PAUL STATES THAT WOMEN SHOULD BE SILENT As in all the churches of the saints, the women are to keep silent in the churches; for they are not permitted to speak, but are to subject themselves, just as the Law also says. If they desire to learn anything, let them ask their own husbands at home; for it is improper for a woman to speak in church. -excerpt 1 Corinthians 14 In this matter Paul speaks of the 'law'. There is a small possibility that he is referring to a Roman or local law. If not, then Paul is stating that Christian women were still under the Old Covenant laws. Yet there was no Old Covenant law that states that women should be silent. Then the daughters of Zelophehad...came forward. They stood before Moses, before Eleazar the priest, before the leaders, and all the congregation at the entrance of the tent of meeting, saying, “Our father died in the wilderness, yet he was not among the group of those who gathered together against the Lord, in the group of Korah; but he died in his own sin, and he had no sons. Why should the name of our father be withdrawn from among his family simply because he had no son? Give us property among our father’s brothers.” So Moses brought their case before the Lord. Then the Lord said to Moses, “The daughters of Zelophehad are right about their statements. You shall certainly give them hereditary property among their father’s brothers... -excerpts Numbers 27 These women were not rebuked, even though they spoke before everyone, including Moses. What they asked for was granted to them, because God agreed with them.

@@lightpinksalt Essay on Deborah, the Judge and prophetess. (Revised Dec. 2023) Before Paul we have her story. We don't know what Paul would have said about her. We have to read about her first and then try to understand Paul (if possible). This is what the people at the beginning of Christianity had to do. They knew the story of Deborah already. Deborah is either a meaningless exception or an important precedent, in the debate of whether men and women are spiritually equal. Before beginning, it should be noted that there is no scripture stating clearly or even hinting at, that Deborah was God's second choice. There was no man that rejected the call to be Judge, requiring a woman to take that place. ************************************************************* INTRODUCTION: Before God was rejected by Israel for the rulership of men, that is, kings, there were different 'seasons' so to speak. One of those seasons was the time of the Judges. ...but they have rejected Me from being King over them. Then all the elders of Israel gathered together and came to Samuel at Ramah; and they said to him, “Behold, you have grown old, and your sons do not walk in your ways. Now appoint us a king to judge us like all the nations.” But the matter was displeasing in the sight of Samuel when they said, “Give us a king to judge us.” And Samuel prayed to the Lord. And the Lord said to Samuel, “Listen to the voice of the people regarding all that they say to you, because they have not rejected you, but they have rejected Me from being King over them. Like all the deeds which they have done since the day that I brought them up from Egypt even to this day-in that they have abandoned Me and served other gods-so they are doing to you as well. -excerpt 1 Samuel 8 A Judge at this time, was VERY different from a judge in our time. The Judge was over the nation of Israel. But not as a man, as King, or as a woman, as Queen, because God was not rejected as King as yet. God ruled Israel through the Judges. Wheresoever I have walked with all Israel, spake I a word to any of the judges of Israel, whom I commanded to feed my people, saying, Why have ye not built me an house of cedars? -excerpt 1 Chronicles 17 verse 6 KJV (In case the reader in unaware, the word pastor and the word shepherd are the same word. I prefer shepherd, because it has obvious meaning to the average person.) Major modern English translations like the NASB use the phrasing ...whom I commanded to shepherd My people... In all places where I have walked with all Israel, have I spoken a word with any of the judges of Israel, whom I commanded to shepherd My people, saying, ‘Why have you not built Me a house of cedar?’ -excerpt 1 Chronicles 17 verse 6 NASB translation Some believe that pastor (or shepherd), is a position that was created in the New Covenant. This is not true. In the Old Testament shepherds are mentioned multiple times. Often in a negative way. “My people have become lost sheep; Their shepherds have led them astray. -excerpt Jeremiah 50 For an entire chapter on worthless shepherds, the reader may check out Ezekiel 34. And here we see Judges ruling over Israel. Therefore we see God ruling over the men and women of Israel, through a woman. That is, in the case of Deborah: Also I will ordain a place for my people Israel, and will plant them, and they shall dwell in their place, and shall be moved no more; neither shall the children of wickedness waste them any more, as at the beginning, and since the time that I commanded judges to be over my people Israel. -excerpt 1 Chronicles 17 verses 9 and 10 KJV -God speaking to Nathan the prophet Finally: All the Judges were men, except one. Deborah. She was married, but her husband was not a Judge. HER JUDGING AUTHORITY here: Now Deborah, a prophetess, the wife of Lappidoth, was judging Israel at that time. She used to sit under the palm tree of Deborah between Ramah and Bethel in the hill country of Ephraim; and the sons of Israel went up to her for judgment. -excerpt Judges 4 Deborah judged men and had the authority to execute, as some sins in the Old Covenant, such as murder, demanded the death penalty as the punishment. There was no appeal to Deborah's (a Judge's) verdict: ... you shall not turn aside from the word which they declare to you, to the right or the left. If a man rejected Deborah's decision, the penalty was execution: But the person who acts insolently by not listening to the priest who stands there to serve the Lord your God, nor to the judge, that person shall die;... She used the Law, therefore scripture, when judging and instructing: In accordance with the terms of the law about which they instruct you... She had the same authority as a Levitical priest: So you shall come to the Levitical priests or the judge... The location she judged was determined by God. It was not a small cabin or cave, but outdoors. Therefore a public setting: ...go up to the place which the Lord your God chooses. [She used to sit under the palm tree of Deborah between Ramah and Bethel in the hill country... -excerpt Judges 4] Also of note, she judged the hardest cases in the nation. “If a case is too difficult for you to decide, between one kind of homicide or another, between one kind of lawsuit or another, and between one kind of assault or another, that are cases of dispute in your courts, then you shall arise and go up to the place which the Lord your God chooses. So you shall come to the Levitical priests or the judge who is in office in those days, and you shall inquire of them and they will declare to you the verdict. Then you shall act in accordance with the terms of the verdict which they declare to you from that place which the Lord chooses; and you shall be careful to act in accordance with everything that they instruct you to do. In accordance with the terms of the law about which they instruct you, and in accordance with the verdict which they tell you, you shall act; you shall not turn aside from the word which they declare to you, to the right or the left. But the person who acts insolently by not listening to the priest who stands there to serve the Lord your God, nor to the judge, that person shall die; so you shall eliminate the evil from Israel. -excerpt Deuteronomy 17 [END OF PARTITION 1 OF 2]

@@lightpinksalt THE REASON GOD SENT HER here: ...the Lord was moved to pity... And when the Lord raised up judges for them, the Lord was with the judge and saved them from the hand of their enemies all the days of the judge; for the Lord was moved to pity by their groaning because of those who tormented and oppressed them. -excerpt Judges 2 The sending of a Judge meant God was showing mercy to His people. It wasn't a judgment against them. Since Deborah was a woman, this scripture is sometimes used in error to describe her, in our time: My people! Their oppressors treat them violently, And women rule over them. My people! Those who guide you lead you astray And confuse the direction of your paths. -excerpt Isaiah 3 They are taking the prophetess Deborah and comparing her to Jezebel who murdered prophets. Has it not been reported to my master what I did when Jezebel killed the prophets of the Lord, that I hid a hundred prophets of the Lord... -excerpt 1 Kings 18 When a Judge died, THEN people were led astray. But it came about, when the judge died, that they would turn back and act more corruptly than their fathers, in following other gods to serve them and bow down to them; they did not abandon their practices or their obstinate ways. -excerpt Judges 2 After Deborah's time in Judges 4 and 5, we see confirmation of the people turning back and acting more corruptly than their fathers. Then the sons of Israel did what was evil in the sight of the Lord; and the Lord handed them over to Midian for seven years. The power of Midian prevailed against Israel. -excerpt Judges 6 first two sentences (above) When the shepherd over Israel died, the people went back into sin. That is because the Judge was the most important spiritual leader of this time period. THE AUTHORITY SHE HAD OVER THE COMMANDER OF THE ARMY here: Now she sent word and summoned Barak... She gave the order for the battle to begin that Israel won. Then Deborah said to Barak, “Arise! For this is the day on which the Lord has handed Sisera over to you... Before the battle began she prophesied that a woman would kill Sisera (the enemy commander). This happened, as Jael, a woman not part of the battle, killed Sisera. She said, “I will certainly go with you; however, the fame shall not be yours on the journey that you are about to take, for the Lord will sell Sisera into the hand of a woman.” And: But Jael, Heber’s wife, took a tent peg and a hammer in her hand, and went secretly to him and drove the peg into his temple, and it went through into the ground; for he was sound asleep and exhausted. So he died. And behold, while Barak was pursuing Sisera, Jael came out to meet him and said to him, “Come, and I will show you the man whom you are seeking.” So he entered with her, and behold, Sisera was lying dead with the tent peg in his temple. So what were the results of this battle? And the Lord routed Sisera and all his chariots and all his army with the edge of the sword before Barak; and Sisera got down from his chariot and fled on foot. But Barak pursued the chariots and the army as far as Harosheth-hagoyim, and all the army of Sisera fell by the edge of the sword; not even one was left. Also: So God subdued Jabin the king of Canaan on that day before the sons of Israel. And the hand of the sons of Israel pressed harder and harder upon Jabin the king of Canaan, until they had eliminated Jabin the king of Canaan. -excerpts Judges 4 In Judges 5, most of the chapter is Deborah and Barak singing praises to God. The song lyrics are there. Final sentence of Judges 5: And the land was at rest for forty years. Obviously a great outcome. WERE THE MEN AT THAT TIME EXCEPTIONALLY COWARDLY? here: (added Dec. 2023) I have had comments over time that the leaders in Israel were cowardly. So a woman was chosen to be a Judge because of that. Now on the same night it came about that the Lord said to him, “Arise, go down against the camp, for I have handed it over to you. But if you are afraid to go down, go with Purah your servant down to the camp, so that you will hear what they say; and afterward you will have the courage to go down against the camp.” So he went down with Purah his servant to the outposts of the army that was in the camp. -excerpt Judges 7 -God speaking to Gideon the Judge We see Gideon afraid, because he took Purah his servant. As it says: So he went down with Purah his servant to the outposts of the army that was in the camp. And the Lord said to Gideon, “The people who are with you are too many for Me to hand Midian over to them, otherwise Israel would become boastful, saying, ‘My own power has saved me.’ Now therefore come, proclaim in the hearing of the people, saying, ‘Whoever is afraid and worried, is to return and leave Mount Gilead.’” So twenty-two thousand from the people returned, but ten thousand remained. -excerpt Judges 7 (above) Many men were fearful. But we also see that there was no way for Israel to free themselves. No way for them to be their own savior, even if they somehow summoned up the courage. God made the decision several times in the Book of Judges to have others rule over them and oppress them. God's will was done. Men couldn't overrule God, even with perfect courage. Barak, in the end, went into battle. He did well enough to be mentioned in the so-called Hall of Faith in Hebrews 11 in a positive way: And what more shall I say? For time will fail me if I tell of ... Barak... who by faith conquered kingdoms, performed acts of righteousness, obtained promises, shut the mouths of lions, quenched the power of fire, escaped the edge of the sword, from weakness were made strong, became mighty in war, put foreign armies to flight. In Judges 5 Deborah and Barak mention the leaders in a positive way multiple times. Then Deborah and Barak the son of Abinoam sang on that day, saying, “For the leaders leading in Israel, For the people volunteering, Bless the Lord! Also: My heart goes out to the commanders of Israel, The volunteers among the people; Bless the Lord! Also: The people of the Lord came down to me as warriors. From Ephraim those whose root is in Amalek came down, Following you, Benjamin, with your peoples; From Machir commanders came down, And from Zebulun those who wield the staff of office. And the princes of Issachar were with Deborah; As was Issachar, so was Barak;... Also: Zebulun was a people who risked their lives, And Naphtali too, on the high places of the field. We see clearly that the leaders and "The people of the Lord..." in a number of tribes stepped up when they believed God was going to move to save them through Deborah the Judge. EXPLANATION OF GOD USING DEBORAH here: Now Deborah, a prophetess, the wife of Lappidoth... Prophets and prophetesses are anointed with the Holy Spirit as we know. The explanation of God using Deborah to judge men and being over the army is here: An anointing of the Holy Spirit is the anointing of a powerful masculine being. That anointing eclipses gender. FINAL THOUGHTS here: A woman anointed with the Holy Spirit can serve in any capacity in our time. Whatever valid title/position there is. To oppose this, is to oppose the Holy Spirit. The same Holy Spirit that was upon Deborah the prophetess and Judge. Deborah, the woman that "saved them from the hand of their enemies" by God's will. [END OF PARTITION 2 OF 2]

I don't know what to say - I don't know how you could suggest that if someone - after reading those passages - concluded that women should not teach men or have authority in respect of men in the church and the home - that they were gripped by the same spirit as Islam. Acts 2:42 ...they continued steadfastly in the apostles doctrine. Paul's letters are from God. If we say it was Paul you negate it was Holy Spirit inspired. Can women preach? Absolutely. Where? Let's apply the letters written to us. The Bible is the same yesterday, today, and forever? Women have a place in prophecy in the five fold ministry. We just should not teach over men. Prophecy over men? Absolutely. Should a wife lead her husband? Absolutely not. Than should another woman teach my husband? God has order. He made a way. We must learn to connect all dots so there is no room for error. Your explanation leaves room for error even though you say God's word can't contradict. Even Deborah was noted as a prophetess. That shows us in the new covenant it is still consistent. She spoke and led with prophecy, not teaching. She was bold and fierce. Holy Spirit should not be contained, nor should we use Him as an avenue to feel empowered. Read Revelations and the corrupt church. It references a women teaching and I will let you see what God calls her. I don't know what this podcast will say, but I love what you do! I look forward to your marriage episodes. Be blessed!

Deborah was not just called by God to be a political leader over Israel, but also a religious prophetess leading Israel. Prophets are over teachers according to Paul in first Corinthians. Paul was very thankful to women who taught and I don’t know if she will get into all the names of the women, Paul thanked for their leadership over men and women. Paul also had issues with those in cities where arguing men and domineering through manipulation by temple prostitution with women for men to win wars were a cultural issue of the time as taught by some women Paul did not praise or thank as he did with other female leaders of the early church.

What do you believe is THE HEART behind the 1 Timothy 2 directive? Imagine you had a friend who said he liked U2. So you send him some of U2's music (this is all very dated!). Then imagine you find out that the reason your friend likes U2 is not because he likes their music - but because when U2's music is on his dog stops barking. That's pretty important information, yes? Next time you might send your friend dog biscuits. It's the same with EVERY BIT of the bible. Unless we determine God's heart behind it we haven't got a hope of obeying it rightly. So then - what is God's heart behind 1 Timothy 2:11-14? Hint - unless we come TO THE VERSE with some conclusions about what a man is THEOLOGICALLY - and what a woman is THEOLOGICALLY - we are left with trying to understand why people with penises should preach in church - and people with vaginas should not. Pretty silly, yes? So - if you attempt to answer my question (whether or not you reply) I suggest you focus on whether there is anywhere in the bible which reveals WHAT man IS in the heart of God - and what woman IS in the heart of God. How does manhood and womanhood relate to God's character - and therefore glory? The problem with the discussion in the video is that no attempt is made to understand God's HEART behind the existence of man and woman - using the bible - before engaging in a discussion about what men and women are supposed to do.

Woman and men are equal to God but there is a divine order in God's kingdom. Woman can prophecy teach preach but cannot be pastors in a church. ..1 Timothy 2:12..Period. The woman is silent as far as that goes in church. They can however teach and preach those oto women and children in the church. I think being feminine and being masculine is a great gift of God. Man is stronger physically and therefore protects His wife and family. I like submitting to the authority of a true Godly Jesus believing Jesus loving and Jesus worshipping man. I like that the man can provide while a woman stays home with the children and cooks and makes the home a place of comfort and beauty and love with cooking cleaning praying raising up Godly children... Playing with them. The feminist movement divided what God brings together with the witchcraft movement in the church that says woman need to roar and be heard.. and fight for their rights. There is No love or unity in that. God knows best... If we just obey and stop making it about us and all about Him what a nation we could become.

This is video is taking what the bible say about women out of context.. Just because women are not permitted in the bible to be a preacher, doesn't mean that women should be silent in church.. Women could and should serve in many positions in church.. just not the preacher.. and all the women just focus on becoming one.. It's like when God told Adam and Eve not to eat the apple.. and the woman proceed to eat the apple

Everything that contradict the word of God is a false doctrine..every Scriptures are God breathed 2Timothy 3.16 All you have to do is to ask God to bless you with the Spirit of decernment..not every spirit you hear talking is a Holy Spirit.. Women should remain silent in the Churches.. Ma'am stop misleading people🙏

Why women are prophets if they should be silent? You make zero sense. I dont see any woman praying in tongues with the shot mouth…

All is clear for those seeking the truth and only To please God. This video is the bible unfolding just false teaching pleasing itchy ears like the bible warns in 2 Timothy 4:3

I believe that you are right in saying that Lisa is misleading people - but I don't believe that you have said enough to reveal what the HEART behind the 1 Timothy 2 passage is. Please search this page (Command F on Mac, Control Mac on Windows) for the two letters U2 - you will be led to a post in which I explain more about why it's important to discern God's heart behind his directives.
