I agree! even if I do all my regime before I apply my makeup, it seems as if any foundation doesn't grab well on the skin, and it happens even changing all the products... I must be doing something wrong or missing something... It would be great to see what you suggest! Thank you for teaching us great makeup skills!

I find regular exfoliating with acids really helps my skin texture, especially on my nose and chin where makeup sits kind of weird. and then after I moisturize I do something else for a few minutes to let it sink in instead of putting foundation on right over top.

Elena in Movieland Even though Lisa has touched on this topic, I also think an in depth tutorial that went into how to prep skin with different issues would help so many. It seems to be the one area that's not covered on KZfaq and that really makes a difference with he makeup applies. I think this is where a makeup artist like Lisa can really help us since she deals with so many different skin types and issues.

This is my favorite smokey eye look ever! I tend to stay away from darker eyeshadow because I have a darker skin tone, so I feel like it makes my eyes look really droopy & tired, but you have totally convinced me otherwise! what I love about her makeup is that is so tasteful no ridiculous amounts of makeup highlight counturing eye liner fake lashes. No, just the right necessary to enhance natural beauty. So elegant, classy and not at all clown-y looking. Plus her voice is so relaxing and she's so kind.

I rarely comment, but I've been watching your videos for a couple of years now. I love how you do not follow what seems to be "trendy", and you have no problem using drug store/high street brands when they work with the look you're doing. I've been a Lisa fan forever and am always chomping at the bit to see what she's up to, but equally love revisiting some of her older looks. I've taken copious notes and used numerous products she's demo'd. But what keeps me coming back beyond her incredible expertise, is her normalness -- I adore that she needs extra concealer because she's binged too many episodes of House of Cards! Often I see a lot of smokey eye looks that are a bit heavy handed or very graphic and try-hard, often with a full load of makeup everywhere else on the face. I really like how Lisa does this one. Her using concealer to get through House of Cards binges made me laugh as well. I just love her.
