in terms of balenciaga it creates more waste to randomly throw out the brand due to their recent controversy. people in public can assume what they want to assume about you if you wear them but at least you're not just unnecessarily throwing away things. especially if you still like the shoes that you got prior to their big controversy.

I understand that Balenciaga fucked up but there’s literally no reason to throw away their stuff and create even more waste or try to sell it and not get your money’s worth! Also everyone’s been wearing D&G and Alexander Wang and not caring about their controversies because they happened years ago but they all of a sudden decided to bash Balenciaga… like don’t get me wrong I don’t support them but also I don’t think what they’ve done was such a big deal, for me they mainly fucked up with the papers etc but teddy bears in alternative clothes held by kids? I just thought they’re referencing goths or smth 🤷‍♀️ I believe Balenciaga will come back and people will support them in the future like they’re doing with racist G&B 🫣

What they did was a huge deal. No one should use children in such a manner like that. But I agree, other brands are known to be just as problematic and people still purchase from them. Which is why I don’t buy anything thags Gucci, Balenciaga, Michael Kors etc cause they’re known for their blatant racism. I think they all need to be held accountable and people shouldn’t pick and choose who to be upset at.
