Hello guys and welcome to my episode 1 of my Portugal series. I am here in Lisbon, Portugal’s hilly and coastal capital and it’s definitely a fascinating city. I have showcased the most important sights to visit while in Lisbon. My episode 2 will cover Fatima, Batalha, Nazare and Obidos and will be staying couple of nights in Algarve which will be episode 3. This episode starts with the visit to Pasteis de Belem pastry shop which is a very traditional shop and one of the most important pastries not to be missed when in Lisbon. There after I visited The Jeronimos Monastery followed by a visit to Torre de Belem the iconic tower of St. Vincent. Thereafter a drive across the 24th April bridge visiting Almdada and the popular monument of Christ the King from where also you get magnificent views of Lisbon city. From Almada I drove to the beautiful coastal resort of Cascais showcasing some very picturesque places including a view of the Carvavelos Beach. The journey continues visiting the Saint George Castle again offering great views from the Castle over Lisbon. There after I visited Bairro Alto which is a popular area for Cafes and pubs. After a delicious breakfast at at petit Portuguese restaurant located on rua dos bacalhoeiros, I visited Alfama and the Se Cathedral.
