Lunch date chit chat: “I am a chosen goddess. My adulterous husband is possessed by a demon named Ned.” “Oh wow! How do you know that??” “Because he’s shorter!” “Oooooooh. That makes total sense!” “And I’m done raising my kid. I left him with Ned the demon.” “Ooooooh. OK! Cool.” “…….How about lunch tomorrow where my friend and I will encourage you to leave your family and join our cult?” “Sure! And remember, Lori lived in luxury thanks to Charles' wealth. Most parents with special needs child(ren) do not have the benefit of wealth to buffer the stress of it all. When Lori tells April that "Charles is a zombie, there's a demon in him," then goes on to say that "I'm done with JJ," shouldn't the first thing April had said to Lori be-- "well, if Charles is a zombie demon, why would you ever think of letting JJ go live with a demon?" How could Lori ever justify that if Charles was seriously a demon zombie? That would be quite a hard question for Lori to respond to. It would have torn her narrative in two.

I know this isn't a popular take, but I think hindsight is blinding us to some unfortunate truths about our justice system. Had April Raymond picked up the phone and called the police after her conversation with Lori, there is not a snowball's chance in hell that she'd have been taken seriously - especially not while everyone was alive and well. It SHOULDN'T be like this. But it is. Charles had way more evidence, he was directly harmed by Lori's actions even prior to his death, and he was still dismissed. And even if the PD in Hawaii where April lived is less carelsss than the Chandler PD, they still wouldn't have acted. "Oh, your friend said some crazy stuff to you over coffee? Big deal." Worst of all is that Lori went and got a psych eval and passed it. There was nothing to hold her before people started dying. Because our rotten justice system is punitive and not preventative - and apparently the same holds true for our scant mental health resources.

Good point but abuse (esp towards women) is why it’s hard to involuntarily commit someone. We can’t make the government responsible for everything. It’s more reasonable to assign blame to her family who protected Lori and Alex instead of Tylee and JJ after Charles’s murder. The mom is majorly la-la too. Her one admittance that she was wrong (after defending Lori when the children were missing) was admirable. But she also only wants to remember Lori as she was. Reality is easily dismissed. I used to think he manipulated her. But with some of the other testimony I've heard, I'm now thinking there's a possibility that they manipulated eachother. At the same time, I don't at all doubt a lot of what was done was for money & so they could be together. But I also think she believes these things, & if so, then she won't think she did anything wrong. At the same time, I don't think Chad believes half of it, if any of it at all.

No she wasn't. Her brother Alex also tazed and nearly killed Joe Ryan. She put Joe through hell and accused him of every crime. He mysteriously died and was never autopsies. Also, there was never evidence that Tylee had pancreatitis and yet she dragged her to the hospital hundreds of times. You can read all the legal papers of her custody battle and what she put a little Tyler through in the process. Tylees child support council could not find evidence of pancreatitis, and the child advocates were concerned about Tylees well being. All of this, before she ever met Chad.

"Previously she didn't have any what you would call out-of-the norm beliefs about Jesus?" "Not from my observation" So at that point she just had the normal Mormon beliefs that Jesus is not one of the persons of the Trinity, but is the first-born spirit child of a heavenly father and a heavenly mother who then was eventually promoted to a deity. And that Jesus visited North America after his resurrection and that his second coming will occur in Missouri. And that all humans can become gods. And that it's not unusual for Jesus or "Heavenly Father" to appear in person to Mormons to provide "revelations" about the future that nobody else knows about, which is why the head of the Mormon church is called the "prophet, seer, and revelator." Just the normal kind of wacky cult beliefs that allow normal people to become convinced that Lori Vallow has been chosen to lead the 144,000 during the second coming and that some people are possessed by demons. The two things are not unrelated.

A tad annoying my (and other viewer's) comment on the previous video (which could have been fixed with a simple title card switch instead of a completely new upload to fix the typo on the original) were lost, so here goes again: 😓 Maybe it's just me, but defense attorney Archibald's line of questions is always so odd. First, his question(s) at the beginning of the audio when they are trying to ensure there was no violation of the exclusion of witness/exclusionary rule (that April Raymond was not unduly exposed/influenced by outside sources sharing information about other testimony in the trial before she testified) at 5:37 and 5:50 (“Because of your exposure/connection to this case, you’ve previously provided media interviews before, right?” “Yes.”; “Has the media contacted you to do follow up interviews?” “Objection.”) were, as state’s/prosecuting attorney Smith points out, absolutely out of the scope and very vague. They were also definitely NOT the same as what he later changed the question to at 6:15 after Smith’s objection (“So that was my question - whether being contacted by the media to set up another interview with you, if you’ve been told what’s going on with the case?”). This makes the question at 6:32 even more frustrating - it isn’t relevant whether Raymond is going to give interviews to the media (especially since he didn’t specify in his question WHEN; she’s free to after the trial concludes); it also doesn’t matter that she has given interviews before - even if she hadn't given interviews before the trial, she might/could/would have been contacted after it was revealed she was subpoenaed. The violation of the exclusion of witness/exclusionary rule is concerned with a witness being on the receiving end/being exposed to information that might/would taint his/her testimony before she/he makes it to the stand. It’s not concerned with a witness being the source of info, unless it’s directed at another witness who has not testified yet. Archibald should have asked: “Have you been contacted by the media with requests for interviews?” “Yes.” “Have they directly or indirectly shared information on the current trial with you?” “No.” On to my main point - Archibald seems to lean heavily on questions that have “yes” or “no” answers. They seemed to make up the majority of his cross of Colby Ryan; he also repeats a lot of Smith’s questions. I yelled “150 miles!” “2 hours!” after he asked Kay Woodcock TWICE how far Houston was from Lake Charles and how long the drive was; Smith had also already asked that question just a few minutes ago. Archibald also mostly asked Colby strange, close-ended questions like, “Who taught you about Jesus Christ when you were young?”, “Did she protect you when you were a child?” and “Did your mom teach you the difference between right and wrong?”…etc. I expected more probative questions, but this might be part of a larger strategy for the defense. If it is, it’s thin, IMO - none of these things make a difference, particularly because all the witness testimonies agree that Lori Vallow clearly “changed” AFTER she joined the podcast group. Whether or not she USED to be a “normal”, or “good mom” BEFORE is not being contended. My favorite part was probably 20:51, where Smith’s response made me chuckle - her line of questioning was to establish what Lori said about Charles being “Demon Ned”, not that Melanie’s agreement with her made Lori’s claim… true. 🤣 Finally, I thought it was interesting that Raymond answers the question at 10:28 in the past tense - “Do you know Lori Vallow?” “I did know Lori Vallow, yes.” I don’t know if it was intentional or “Freudian”, but it stuck out to me, considering that she and most of the witnesses probably do feel that the woman they know/thought they knew is certainly not the same person they see in the courtroom. Ironic, considering it was Lori and Chad who were running around accusing people of having changed/gone dark/becoming “zombies”. 🙄

JW believe in what the BIBLE says about the 144,000 But what the mormons believe the 144,000 and what Laurie and Chad believed 144000 and their role it's TOTALLY and COMPLETELY DIFFERENT than what The Bible teachs ,maybe it's their book of and it's teaching

what an emotionally disconnected narcissist to suggest that this mother leave her children.

This is something I don't understand. The jurors know what this case is about, so how can that not be biased when it comes to the children? There is no way I would be able to have an open mind when it involves children being harmed or un-alived.

Apparently some of the jurors were evidently gobsmacked by some of the evidence, such as when Colby Ryan was introduced on the stand as stepson of Charles and son of Lori. Plenty of people don’t really do social media. And when it comes to some studies like medicine and whatever, people basically work and sleep. Some might have been living overseas till recently. An amazing number of people these days also never read or watch news.

They are only required to be open minded as it relates to the possibility that the defendant could be innocent - they are allowed to be disgusted by child abuse or murder.

Would you not be able to do so? Some (most) people can. It’s not that hard.

These jurors claimed to know little to nothing about this case. I would like to know what rock they were under. With all the news coverage how is that possible.
