Our audio guru Chris Berens uses binaural microphones under his Maxwell headset to record the sound that he is hearing using the Dolby Atmos renderer. This gives us a visual and audio insight on how the renderer uses head tracking and communicates with the Maxwell.
Maxwell's built in head tracking helps provide an immersive mixing environment, leading to greater accuracy in placing objects in 3D space. Maxwell gives artists a spatial audio studio on the go, with a full binaural preview of their work. The Dolby Atmos Renderer is intended for professional content creation, allowing artists to craft a new generation of music and audio experiences, without the limitations of traditional methods.
Audeze Maxwell head tracking software and installation guide can be found at Audeze.com with full support documentation and walk-throughs! At this time, head tracking is only supported in the Dolby Atmos Renderer, for professional use.

Loving the Maxwell head tracking. Very revealing how it will translate to my audience and has given me clues as to how to best create interesting immersive cues.

Hey Chris LOVE my Maxwells what a product! well done. one question couldn't we bring back the 3d head tracking audio with the older headsets and use it with maxwell? or could these sensors be used in games like flight sim to turn the camera? Basically is head tracking going to be useful for end users and not just Atmos creators?

Our goal is to make headtracking available more widely, but it's up to the devs of each game etc to implement it

No, the Dolby Atmos Renderer is only a professional tool

All Maxwells already have this functionality. You need to have the latest firmware and the Dolby professional renderer to enable this functionality.

@@georgecrawford4721 No. This is for Atmos professional application at the moment. Dolby Access consumer app doesn't support head tracking currently
