That's really an odd topic for Unsolved Mysteries 😂 I'm here because today is his Feast day, and because I've been making pilgrimages to his tomb praying for a miracle for someone. I know someone whose grandpa was healed of advanced cancer as a young father (back then they didn't talk about "stages" of cancer, and the only treatment was surgery - this was before chemotherapy). The doctors told the man to put his affairs in order and prepare for his end. Friends and family came to pay respects while he was still alive, visiting him on his sick bed. One friend mentioned a "healing priest" in Detroit. The man and his wife thought it was worth a shot, even if only for a blessing. Father Solanus Casey didn't say anything to them except, "Go home." And then as if it were an afterthought, Father Casey asked the man, "You will help the poor, won't you?" It so happened the man was a farmer. He was instantaneously healed, and from then on he notified the monastery when he got in a harvest. Sometimes Father Casey would come to help harvest, but he always came to load the monastery truck. They said he was a small man, but he handled 100lb sacks of potatoes and onions with ease. Then he stayed to play baseball with the kids and have supper. I know another person whose neighbor was cured of deafness caused by scarlet fever. They were both children at the time. The person who told me about her neighbor was Protestant at the time of the healing, and maybe the child who was healed was also Protestant, but I'm not sure about that. There's no "unsolved mystery" here, just miracles to show us that God is still at work in the world.
