@@golfkid333 You’re right it, the book was picked at random, but that book was the bible. I’m not a religious person but I think it’s very fitting because the verse it landed on was when Jesus Christ was being killed by being nailed to a cross by the people surrounding him where he cries out to God, asking him why the f*** was he abandoned and left to die alone. To me, that is probably the most powerful part of the song because you can hear (and see in the music video) the anger and anguish in both Serj’s and Daron’s clamor.

Happened a lot with people who didn’t know them well I had friend ask me to bring the cd to his house for asleep over and hahahaha we only heard chop suey… once he heard the first song… he was like fuck yeah that’s heavy (prison song) it starts really heavy with serj growling and then they stitch into the verse and my friend says wtf take that shit off and put some slipknot hahaha They do some awkward things just for fun mostly and it wierds out people, good times back in 2001

It's totally possible. It came out 21 years ago, got to 76 on the top 100 and had limited airplay because of 9/11. If you don't watch shorts 24/7 or listen to alt rock stations you could totally go through life without hearing it even once.

There's a song by the crystal method talking about murders going from house to house in a neighborhood, can't remember the name of the song but I used to use it as a lullaby and no it's not a joke. Only reason I posted was cus I though his reaction was super funny. Not really an ego trip, just a comparison from my perspective where ive listened to music like this all my life vs a persons first time experience that's all
