“If Russia loses the war, then whoever replaces Putin is not going to be able to hold onto 11 timezones of nation. Manchuria was only stolen from China 200 years ago. They want Manchuria back and they’re going to get it.”
Diane Francis discusses the fragile relationship between Russia and China, and how "China will pounce" when Putin is replaced.

At this point in time, it would be easier for China to get back the parts of Manchuria Russia took in the not too distant past rather than try to get Taiwan back into the fold.

Except that nobody in Russian Manchuria wants to be anything but part of the Russian Federation. In Taiwan however, a majority thinks of themselves as ethnic Chinese and resistance would likely be weaker.

@@andreasferenczi7613 In fact, only a small number of people in Taiwan consider themselves Chinese. We have resisted China for decades, but now the gap between us and China is too big. Our hope now lies in the United States.

@@user-cw4jd8xt2u I don't know all that much about Chinese and Taiwanese identity, but I was under the impression that Taiwanese was seen more as a subset of Chinese than something entirely separate. Up until the early 2000s that seems to have been the dominant viewpoint and I didn't know that had changed. I also wonder how that could even change so dramatically. Anyhow, I am still confident that the people in the Russian Far-East view themselves as much less Chinese than the Taiwanese.

Yes, who is interviewing who here. I just saw this on my recommended list. I presume Diane Francis is the interviewer but who is she interviewing? Whoever it is, she seems to have a good grasp on everything they are discussing. I like her and would like to know her name and background. I listened but didn't pick up her name and I didn't see it on the transcript. I have a feeling the first part was left off.

Finally an American influencer/political lobbyist admitting that banning TikTok is purely political
@rocroc
@rocroc Ай бұрын
@@toolbaggers- I don't think it is purely political at all. TikTok has had a profoundly negative impact on certain aspect of American society. If you are a car owner in American, I'll give you one example. Someone threw up a video on how to steal a catalytic converter from a Kia/Hyundai. Average replacement cost of a catalytic converter parts and labor is more than $1,000. As a result of that video the insurance rate of every car owner increased and the theft of catalytic converters became wide spread. In some cases insurance companies even refuse to insure certain vehicles. That is only one example. There are many more. It has become an industry of pranks for which some people are paid money. Those are the ones who want to keep it.

The mistake here is thinking what's good for the PRC. If the CCP's leadership thinks it'll keep them in power a few more months, then do it. No one cares about the PRC as a whole. It's irrelevant.

Bad situation to Occidental!. Many believe it is easy!. Leaders of many western countries think that they have not advanced enough, however they do not realize that the invaders had a year to mine and fortify themselves, they have the courage and high morale to achieve victory.

Hmmm.... Times Radio please improve your video titles. I generally like and watch your content but the title of this is the kind of taunt I would expect from a 5 year old. I get what you were going for but I won't watch this...the bias is a little to overt.

@@fenrirgg interfering with other countries national interests like; taxing oil purchases can have serious repercussions. This is extortion. Trying to extort from a country like China, and Russia is madness. Their respective war machines can theoretically crush Europe as they have done previously in history. They have the manufacturing might, the war resources, the army numbers. What does Europe have?

France has more time zones than Russia. Maybe not so many now that they've been kicked out of Africa. The acquisitive and colonial nature of the Brits is also facing a crisis. Their only goal is breaking up Russia.
