“The supreme leader of Iran is more scared of American soft power than American hard power.”
Ayatollah Khamenei is “prepared to pay the price” to keep America out of Iran to prevent them “spreading democracy, spreading women’s rights”, explains professor of Iranian politics at Reichman University, Meir Javedanfar.

It is important to distinguish between the people and the leadership when mentioning a nation, as in the case of Iran. The whole of Iran includes the common citizen and most has been in an iron grip. The leadership is scared and with strong motivation since their methods are inhumane and cruel. Their people in the other hand are in a position to retake their country from their leadership if they are willing enough.

Remember the men and women you are seeing in this footage are the pro regime idiots, not the other 98% of Iranians who are dancing on the streets and offering sweets to public to celebrate the crash that killed Raisi the Butcher of Tehran, when in summer of 1988 he along with two other judges issued the orders of mass execution of between5000 to 30,000 political prisoners. Raisi on Iranian TV admitted that he had signed off the killing of 3000 and he was very proud of that record and said the country should give him a medal! Amnesty International has confirmed at least 5000 political prisoners being murdered by the deaths squad judges (Raisi and two other judges). The families of the executed political prisoners to this day have never received the bodies of their loved ones. We know they must be hiding the bodies of the 30,000 killed in secret mass graves, one mass grave (Khavaran) was accidentally discovered and now has walls around it so people cannot access it. As Iranians, we urge the governments of UK, Germany, France, Italy, Canada and Australia to classify the Khameni's private armies (IRGC and the Basij militias) as terrorist entities and prevent companies and financial institutions owned and controlled by IRGC from engaging in commerce, investments and any type of financial transactions, just like USA has, if EU and Canada cooperate with with the Iranian opposition we will topple this regime and get rid of this public menace, but we cannot do that so long as EU, UK and Canada shield the terrorist IRGC and Khamenei.

@@yogi8010 In the Islamic supplemental literature called the Hadith, I'm going to copy paste two (there are others) on this matter: Narrated Ibn 'Umar from his father: The Prophet said, "The deceased is tortured in his grave for the wailing done over him." Narrated Shu'ba: The deceased is tortured for the wailing of the living ones over him . and It was narrated that Umm 'Atiyyah said: "When I wanted to give pledge to the Messenger of Allah, I said: 'O Messenger of Allah, women helped me (in wailing for the dead) during the Jahiliyyah; shall I go and help her (in wailing) and then come to you and give you my oath of allegiance?' He said: 'Go and help her.' So I went and helped her, then I came, and gave my pledge to the Messenger of Allah." So it does seem to be a cultural norm and I do not doubt that there aren't paid professional wailers in the crowd. And to be honest, I have to agree with the Prophet's opinion *so long as it is against people paid to wail over the dead.*

As someone pointed out, if the Iranian system is so delicate that it cannot withstand a few people with their ideas, then it isn't very robust. I mean the American system is under enormous stress testing right now on all fronts from what one might classify as anti-American soft power influences even from within the government. We will have to see if they can hold together - but could any other country have remained standing this long?

Ebrahim Raisi, the former president of Iran who died in a helicopter crash, was indeed a brutal and ruthless figure known for his role in mass executions and violent crackdowns on dissent. As a young cleric in 1988, Raisi served on the "death committees" that ordered the executions of thousands of political prisoners, earning him the moniker "the butcher." He proudly defended these killings as "divine punishment" and a "proud achievement." During the 2019 protests over fuel price hikes, Raisi, then head of the judiciary, played a central role in the violent suppression that left at least 1,500 protesters dead. As president from 2021, he oversaw a harsh crackdown on the 2022 protests sparked by Mahsa Amini's death in custody, with over 500 killed and 22,000 arrested. Raisi strictly enforced the mandatory hijab laws, with morality police brutally targeting women like Amini for perceived violations. His presidency was marked by an emboldened stance against the U.S., further uranium enrichment, and a major missile attack on Israel in 2023. Raisi rose through the ranks as a hardline protege of Supreme Leader Khamenei, who facilitated his path to the presidency by disqualifying opposition candidates. His reputation for lethal repression made him a divisive figure both domestically and internationally.

He said the American people and the Russian people could and should be friends, but that the two governments couldn't be because their ends and means are contrary to each other. It is time for all people everywhere to start pushing our governments to advocate for peace. Can you imagine if all countries on earth could stop funding their military. Imagine what could be accomplished with those young men and women, not to mention the money.

Yeah, U.S. sanctions has left them living in the 1970's ever since the attack on the U.S. Embassy...all from soft power too...every time Iran tries something the U.S. slaps it down with soft power!!!

Thats it - LOL. Yo uonly have soft power if countries want to emulate you. NO ONE wants to emulate the US any more. Odly massive wealth inequality, unaffordable housing, unaffordable healthcare, spiraling food costs, and zero hour contracts os NOT want most countries want to aspire to.
