BBDO Guerrero installs solar-powered lights for the citizens of Tacloban City.
On November 8, 2013, Typhoon Haiyan hit Tacloban City. 3.9 million survivors were left without electricity. With Pepsi having one of its largest bottling plants in the city, they reinvented the night light by adding a solar panel, a battery, and an LED to a single bottle so it could store 10 hours of daylight. Residents of Tacloban City were taught to create and maintain the lights.
