Did you know there's a HIDDEN land in Disney's Animal Kingdom! Yep, you can't walk there - you actually have to take a train! We're talking about Rafiki's Planet Watch! This often-overlooked land has some SURPRISING attractions, so it's time for a FULL TOUR!

I love going over to Rafiki’s Planet Watch. Always a must do for us. Nice break on the train, cool animal areas, and animation station is a must. Keep an empty paper towel tube in your back pack for the finished drawing 😊

The cast members at the Conservation Station are some of the best anywhere. We had a great experience with an older gentleman CM who was SO delighted to answer all my questions (mostly about the names of all the animals). There was almost no one in there, so he basically gave us a private tour! It was definitely magical.

As someone who usually goes to Disney with other adults, I’ve never made it to this land. But I’m taking a trip with my nieces later this year so this video was super helpful. My question for others: how much time do you usually spend in this land checking everything out?

I went with my mom back in 2016 and we spent I believe an hour there. that before animation creation was there.

My only time, we stayed about 30-45 minutes. Probably could spend up to 2 hours if you do everything. Very much a cool down & break from the crowds spot for me, still fun but way more relaxing.

I always head back there for the animation studio which takes 25 minutes or so and then another 30-45 to see everything else

I haven’t been there in at least 10 years, but we are heading to Disney with my niece and nephew this summer. I think my nephew will love the train ride so it was on my list, but I honestly forgot what was in the land!

I love this area of AK so much. My last couple trips have been non-stop rides and attractions with people who had no interest in this area, so I haven’t been there myself since maybe 2016 (which is TOO LONG). My favorite part has to be the affection section. The goats are too cute.

Love taking the train to see the backstage safari areas on the way to animation station. It’s a must do for us and a fun souvenir to take home. Pro tip: stop at Zuri’s Sweet Treats before boarding the train. Such a nice break made even better!

My sister and brother-in-law just went to Disney World with my BIL's family and they hated Epcot, Hollywood studios and Universal. I mentioned all things you can do at no extra cost at Animal Kingdom and Discovery Cove they were told by his family that it's a boring parks.

I had my eyes closed during the conservation station because I KNEW that a spider would be featured. I’m a deathly afraid of spiders. Maybe a little warning next time lol! Love ya, Quincy!

I had been skipping this land for years and years and years. A few trips ago last year, I decided what the heck and hopped on the train. Now I love it and go every time I'm in AK. It's so peaceful and who doesn't want to pet a goat. Although, I will say, I get almost as much pleasure watching the kids with the animals.
