If you were of the world, the world would love you as its own; but because you are not of the world, but I chose you out of the world, therefore the world hates you. John 15:19 It took me a long time to reach out to the creator, the feeling you have is real and raw and the good news is that you’re actually in touch with something bigger than this world, because the world rejects you. You simply don’t fit in, but do not be fooled into thinking that hope is foolishness. Because that’s what the world wants and that’s what lucifer wants. Would you look down on the homeless person covered in filth standing on the corner of the gas station? Would you even notice the homeless person or even stop to think what they’re feeling? Because this person perhaps was chewed and spat by society, maybe they’re not drug addicts, maybe they lost their job and their wife left them and took the kids and they simply gave up. Jesus loves outcasts, people who don’t fit into the world, the rejects and the despised. Jesus made friends with the outcasts, the diseased and cripples, and poor he said He said also to the man who had invited him, “When you give a dinner or a banquet, do not invite your friends or your brothers or your relatives or rich neighbors, lest they also invite you in return and you be repaid. But when you give a feast, invite the poor, the crippled, the lame, the blind, and you will be blessed, because they cannot repay you. For you will be repaid at the resurrection of the just.” Seek Jesus sincerely and you will find your truth, what else will you attempt to feel whole? 37 No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. 38 For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons,[k] neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, 39 neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord. -Romans 8

If you guys want the honest truth. Stop romanticizing your loneliness. It's not healthy if you genuinly feel depressed. I love the 'literally me' community, but if you want genuine change then don't live as if you're a character in a movie. I just got out of a breakup, and I've realized how much the content you watch affects your perspective of reality. There is happiness out there for all of us, and sheilding yourself through trying to relate to emotionally damaged individuals is not the way to find it. With that being said, this edit is amazing.

There have been many of these edits, each with their own substance and effects, that have each moved me. But this one is the best that I have found to date. The inclusion of Elliot and the Tears in Rain dialogue was what was missing to go alongside the dialogue of Bateman, and together they capture the feelings that inspired the literally me edits in the first place. Thank you so much.

Maybe what we feel is the disappointment of unacheived potential? We could potentially be fathers, warriors, protectors, brothers, best friends, providers, soul mates, leaders. But society doesn't require any of that from us. So we float, forgotten and aimless through life, getting glimpses of what we could be if only given the chance. If only we took that next step, took that action or said what we needed to. But we don't... we stagnate. We're dead already. And the worst part is it's all our fault. But if it's our fault that means we can change it.

"This is me. Literally me. No other character can come close to relating to me like this. There is no way you can convince me this is not me. This character could not possibly be anymore me. It's me, and nobody can convince me otherwise. If anyone approached me on the topic of this not possibly being me, then I immediately shut them down with overwhelming evidence that this character is me. This character is me, it is indisputable. Why anyone would try to argue that this character is not me is beyond me. If you held two pictures of me and this character side by side, you'd see no difference. I can safely look at this character every day and say "Yup, that's me". I can practically see this character every time I look at myself in the mirror. I go outside and people stop me to comment how similar I look and act to this character. I chuckle softly as I'm assured everyday this character is me in every way. I can smile each time I get out of bed every morning knowing that I've found my identity with this character and I know my place in this world. It's really quite funny how similar this character is to me, it's almost like we're identical twins. When I first saw this character, I had an existential crisis. What if this character was the real me and I was the fictional being. What if this character actual became aware of my existence? Did this character have the ability to become self aware itself?"

Beautiful work Idle, as always! Reminds me of something someone dear to me once told me: 'the more you hate yourself, the more you've been hating others' - and sure, maybe that self-hate was borne out of what others had done to me but in the end- who would save me more then /me/? Who would protect me from that pain, that loss but /me/? And even if loneliness was a constant companion, I too am my own constant companion. Maybe this ramble didn't make much sense but- wishing you happiness, your own independent happiness that you have discovered within yourself to anyone who reads this

You probably ask yourself why we all like these charcters. -Alienation and Disconnection -Identity Crisis -Mental Health Issues -Dual Nature -Antiheroic Traits -Violence and Aggression -Existentialism and Nihilism -Isolation and Loneliness These are the reasons you see yourself in them -Social Commentary -Journey of Self-Discovery -Meets with Cinematic Aesthetics and Narration. And these are the reasons you idiolize them

I find interesting that calm, non reactive, unexpressive and emotionless style in these movie characters. Its like the ubermench' version of us. Does everything they want whenever and however they want with no fear of consequences. But still they are still not ruthless and evil by nature or even they are evil the movie shows us the reasons behind the evil nature and somehow connects that with a logical justification. Its like society says killing is bad but going to war for a nation that you cant even live properly without being rich is considered as 'honorable'. I think we love them because its kind of a masculinity we prefer to be. Its assertive, rebellious, independent; hated by respected, hated by society but secretly admired by individuals, its kind of things that women do not want to marry but want a flirt with like a Noble Savage'. And most importantly the main character was always in a unusual trouble, a visioner problem, things you could not handle yourself or its not usual to handle yourself alone. Fuck your english, its good. Also thanks for sharing your thoughts and insights. @UsernameAnonym

I always keep coming back to this video... This edit always assures me that I'm not alone in feeling whatever this is. My mind feels like a vast space of cluttered data and I have no idea what to do with all of it. It sometimes takes over me and makes me feel alienated from myself. This is not some phase that just comes and goes away occasionally. It's a constant reminder of time... I admit that it's a bit difficult to face and takes my productivity away. I don't know why but it really takes a toll on me seeing everyone having some passion and a purpose to work toward, whereas I am so different and not in a good way. I have brought this upon myself and not one day goes by that I don't regret it. I feel lost. I want to hold on for a few days, until I have a new opportunity to take. But honestly, waiting for an opportunity is so tiring. And doing nothing is depressing. I'm clueless. This feeling is... esoteric, to say the least. But this edit makes me feel like I am a part of this very vast group of people feeling the same thing that I am. And it makes me want to accept it and go forward to find a new dimension of happiness in the fabric of life. Thank You for making this. ♥️
