Hey from this satellite guy. Jesus is alive and in Israel. I wish I could write anytime but I can only do it sometimes when it strikes me. To me my stuff has good characterization but I find it hard to describe and use all the senses in a fluid manner. Comedy always works. I barely graduated high school so kudos to you real writers.

Yeah well. Just for the sake of correctness, the "Game of Thrones" series is actually called the "Song of Ice and Fire" series (sry, but a title is a title), and it is not written in 3rd Person Ominiscient but in 3rd Person Limited - it is just that the POV character changes with every chapter.
