I appreciate this review!! I have no pets right now because my boys passed away over the last couple years. I HATED the litter box so much I said I would never get another. But the fact is, I’m a cat lady and I miss their love and companionship. But I like the clean house. I’ve gone back and forth, and it would be contingent on one of these robots. So this helps in my decision.

Hi Erin! I know just what you mean. Yesterday was a “clean the litter day” and it literally only took me a minute. Soooo much better. 😊

I think their company, then hilarious nonsense each evening are worth it. I'm sorry if your fairly new to the loss of a pet, but getting new ones always helps. A loss happens every 4 or 5 years for us because unfortunately cat aids and cat leukaemia is a common where I live. So I always double them up and make sure they never are without a sibling. I hope you get a new one soon!

Yes, yes, its worth the hype!!! My litter is lasting so much longer and its so much cleaner. No more smell is a huge bonus.

Shared 🐾🐾 This is amazing! So funny when you said the litter box is the bane of your existence. I'm not sure why, but it is worse than cleaning any other animal business. Great job on the tutorial

Thanks so much for this review! I have two cats and also feel like the litter boxes are the bane of my existence. One of my cats is a larger Maine Coon mix, so I hope she can fit into it. Thanks for bring that up. I'll do a little more research to see if it will work for her.

@jessicanewman1335 Please don't waste your money. We have gone through several of them now. They haven't lasted more than 2 months before something goes wrong. Customer service is based out of India and is terrible. Waste of money, and the company ultimately does not honor the warranty if you have a defective unit. Now we are stuck with a $700 piece of garbage.

The biggest freaking problem with these: they're finicky as hell, and when they stop working well, they stop working. I recently had mine start showing errors like "the sensors are dirty" and "cleaning cycle interrupted"... cleaning did nothing to stop it, and it routinely would get "stuck" half-way through the cycle. After talking with their support, they're sending a new machine. So I would absolutely recommend these things, but I would also recommend getting the extended warranty... because replacing shit yourself can get expensive.

It won't.. the 4 and the 3 all events have sensor issues and they become maddening

The grid holes seem quite small. Do you think it works with wood pellets litter?

No it has to be clumping litter. The holes are small so the litter can sift through and the waste can stay in the globe until deposited into the drawer below. Hope this helps 😊

If we add little cat litter into it, the inner casing will get dirty. So I always add lots of litter inside. It doesn't seem possible in this case. How is it going to be🎉 How many liters of cat litter can I add inside (I add a minimum of 10 liters so that the pee does not get on the floor or inside)

I have this Litter Robot and it worked great...and now it does not. Really frustrated as there is zero excuses for the system to already be having major issues after just 7 months.

As a little getting stuck on that depends on how cheap of litter you’re getting to if you get the litter I get that doesn’t stick to the bottoms tidy cat, but it’s the light stuff. It’s way more expensive, but it doesn’t stick to the bottom of your pan or there’s another one by Armin Hammer slide that won’t stick to the bottom of your pan neither and that’s probably what I’m gonna upgrade back to again, when I get my litter robot for this week I just ordered it today. I have five cats. I am tired of scooping litter.

I have just recently found that the Walmart brand special kitty that is in a jug like tidy cats works as well as any of them and only $7-8!

We are about to get one of these, but we have 5 cats. I am sure it'll do the job, but was curious about the amount of litter it holds. I see a line (assuming its the max fill line) what happens if you fill over that line?

If you overfill past the line the extra litter gets dumped into the tray below with the clumps so it’s a waste. Since it cycles every time a cat exits, it should handle 5 cats. You may just have to fill and empty more often. Hope this helps 😊

My boys don’t spray so I haven’t had that problem, but I can say that the bonnet comes off to clean. Hope this helps 😊

Is this good for cat that like to elevator pee? Also for cat 18lbs and long

Hi Cindy! My concern that this may be a small litter box for a large cat. But my boy who is 12 lbs and on the longer side likes to get himself in there and put his front paws on the outer edge and go that way so his head is kind of sticking out the front 😂 Hope this helps 😊

@@davidmargaryan5790 I have this box. One of my cats is 17# about 1.5-2’ on his hind legs. He’s fits fine inside of it. This box has added an additional inch from the litter robot 3.

@@michaelrobbins5302 I have .. and the popur was pure junk.. LR4 is not perfect but it was good enough for me to justify buying a 2nd one.. I whole heartedly believe the Porpur positive reviews all are fake. Returning the popur was a huge headache.. do not believe the 30 day satisfaction guaranteed..

@@thedistressedprincessdiy unfortunately we have had 3 replacement bases and all have failed. Quick Google search shows how many people have problems with this unit. Just really poorly engineered

Litter Robot still rotates and doesn't cover the rotation... so NO, its not the best... LR is actually the most expensive and worst of them all... PetSnow box and Els Pet cat box are both much better - covered rotation , or no rotation / scoop action boxes

@@thedistressedprincessdiy they work much better and cats get used to it much naturally. Definitely give it a try if you have a chance.
