LEVELER
The Little Giant® Leveler™ is lighter, easier-to-use, and more versatile than any comparable ladder. The Leveler allows you to complete nearly any task at home or on the job, from changing the light bulb over the stairs to working over unlevel, rough terrain. The Leveler comes with Little Giant’s patented Ratchet™ Levelers, which adjust hands-free in seconds. These integrated leg levelers allow you to adjust to uneven ground in mere seconds. And when the job is done, the levelers simply retract into the storage position. The easy-to-use levelers offer more than 7 inches of leveling adjustment.
The Leveler’s spring-assisted Rapid Lock® adjusters are easier to use than manual U-locks. You can use the Leveler in dozens of unique configurations, as an A-frame, extension, staircase and 90-degree ladder, and as a trestle-and-plank scaffolding system when used with Trestle Brackets (sold separately). The Leveler’s wide-flared legs provide an unmatched feeling of safety and stability.
The Little Giant Leveler is extra heavy duty rated to hold 300 lbs in all configurations, and will also hold 300 lbs on each side of the stepladder configuration.
The Little Giant Leveler is available in 17 and 22-foot sizes exclusively at Lowe’s Home Improvement stores nationwide, and in 13, 17, 22 and 26-foot sizes at Lowes.com.

I just bought a m22, couldn't be happier. I really like how it's flared out on the ends. When used as a extension ladder it makes stepping off and on easier. Also the lever feet make easy work of un even ground. I have a split entry house and my stairway ceiling isn't easy to get to. I'm getting ready to repaint and this is going to make that task much easier.

The 26 is a phenomenal ladder as a tall and adjustable A frame ladder. It has allowed me to do work I didn't think possible before. As an extension ladder though it is practically useless because it is so difficult to position at the full (or nearly full) extended length. Even fully extending the top half and leaving the bottom half short and extending after the fact is very cumbersome and dangerous. I would never give it up for the convenience it provides as an A-frame, but if what you need is an extension ladder you should look elsewhere.

the hinge adjustment looks like a completely different mechanism than Lowes has on their website. The Lowes one doesn't have orange pushbuttons, it's an aluminum box looking thing with a wire hook and holes for screwdrivers.

What if the opposite side also has uneven ground? Seems like the levelers should be on all 4 legs in A-frame configuration.
@LittleGiantLadders
@LittleGiantLadders 3 ай бұрын
People often ask that. If you find yourself in that situation, that means the ladder is pivoting on opposite legs, diagonal from each other. You should be able to hold the ladder to make the side without levelers touch evenly, and then use the front levelers to hold the ladder in place, nice and straight. HOWEVER, if that doesn't help, it is actually possible to call in and purchase just an outer-section of the ladder, the side with levelers, so you could have all 4. We generally find most don't need that, but that is an option available to you.

Always keep your hands and fingers out from pinch zones - and ensure the locks are engaged! We hope nobody ever has to experience that! If I could tell people three things about articulating ladders, is to always make sure locks are engaged, to never overreach, and don't skip the last rung.

The centre hinge needs more than one adjustment in the step ladder mode. I need a tall step ladder on our stair case landing. When our 26' ladder is at its highest, I can't open it as it opens too wide at the bottom. Also, "Little Giant" ladders are too heavy.
@LittleGiantLadders
@LittleGiantLadders Жыл бұрын
Hi Boyo, appreciate the comment and suggestion. Unfortunately with the hinge, we are required to stick to the ladder standards - it can only go into the storage position, the a-frame position, or the extension position. If it had extra spots to stop, it would create a shape of ladder that is not safe to climb on. The rungs you step on would no longer be "flat" to the ground, making it possible to slip from. How high up do you need to reach in your staircase landing? I'd love to see if there is a better option to use in a staircase landing depending on how high you are trying to reach. And if you could let me know the dimensions of that landing for a more precise look into what fits into that footprint. Regarding the "too heavy" comment - the Leveler 26 weighs 54.5 pounds. Keep in mind this includes the built-in levelers. That is lighter than some competitor's ladders by almost 4 pounds. And theirs don't include the ratchet levelers. Another competitor's model 26 weighs 52.5 pounds - again, they don't have the ratchet levelers, so it's not going to be as versatile. So to claim "little giant ladders are too heavy" is quite disingenuous. Please go to our product pages on our website and compare our ladder weights with other manufacturers and you might be quite surprised to find we match or are in fact lower in weight. (for example, our Velocity ladder in model 26, without ratchet levelers, weighs 49.5 pounds - that's 3 -9 pounds lighter than competitors)

@@LittleGiantLadders I bought a new one from Rona today. Working on top of snow that's on top of a bush on one leg. The other leg has brick in a circle. Typical vegetation around a front window of a home. I really should be doing a video. Extend left leg 3 inches so it can push through snow and bush until it hits something solid. Right leg is suspended off the ground and bottom rung is level. Simply press down on right leg til it touches ground. This whole set up takes maybe 12 seconds as that's how fast it sets up. Zero ability to shore up with blocks. Now step on bottom rung see if ladder shifts. Nope, go up 2 rungs, come down. Repeat. Ladder does not move. Now I know I'm safe and climb up 12 feet. You cannot shore up with blocks of wood here. Only an extended leg can get through. And you don't have to crouch down to put in pins. When you do that control of the ladder is gone during set up. This is real world working conditions and no other ladder is this easy to use and keep you safe. I did take pictures. It's also windy and I don't have to worry about the ladder tipping over because of the wide foot print. It's a bungalow walkout with transom windows. I need 3 different step ladder sizes and an extension ladder rising 2 storys or 1 little giant 22. When I pull up in my subaru outback wagon the owner is puzzled. You didn't bring a ladder? I said it's inside the car. He protests, it's 2 story's in the back. I said not to worry, ladder rises 18 feet, I got it covered. I get 28 mpg in an outback, try that in a working van. I carry 1 ladder, they carry 3. What I save in fuel pays for the ladder in 5 weeks. I've been using little giant ladders since I bought my first 1 in 1995 at the Calgary Stampede. I figure that ladder changed positions over 300,000 times. Never wore out. However I turned 60 this year and needed something lighter or was going to have to retire. I was skeptical as hell on the new ones but thought what choice do I have. Absolutely loved it. Especially the leg leveller. But I put 3 in one oil on it and no longer catches. That was my fault, not little giants.

Sorry! Normally the QR code will take you to the demo video, but you must have got the newest version of the Leveler! I have a demo that will be coming out soon that will talk about those. But they are additional spots where you can flip the metal part down and use it like a tool holster, and if the metal part is flipped up you can hang belt-clip tools from the clip. You can also set a screwdriver or two in the holes at the top. Stay tuned on the youtube page and it may be later today that it gets published. Once it's published the QR code on your ladder will also be updated to take you to this new demo.

What size ladders are you currently using? The Leveler that includes ratchets, is within ~1 pound from ladders from other brands - and theirs don't include ratchet levelers. If you don't need ratchet levelers built in, we do have other models that are even lighter!

We used to have one! (see this video: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/qq55iclm2b21gYE.html ) But now, we innovated a leveling system into our ladders. This includes extension ladders and articulating ladders. Not only is it easier to use because it's built in, but it weighs less than the alternative.

The Model 26 weighs 55 pounds, which is a lot, but still 3 pounds lighter than the Model 26 from werner (and theirs doesn't even have the leveling legs). It weighs the same as the model 26 from gorilla, and again, theirs doesn't have the leveling legs like ours. Let's just face it, the M26 is a lot of ladder, but we believe innovation is king!
