Honestly the cap is never gonna break apart like a blade will. Maybe the bolt would break but I doubt it. And as far as the nuts loosening, youd be able to tell as soon as it happened because it would very wobbly and unable to use. Definitely not safe, but I qouldnt call it safer than a standard blade, I've seen those things break off and get stuck in peoples face protectors

To lessen the likelyhood of having an aluminum fragment in your eye, throat or sever an artery or vein firstly, wear safety glasses. Measure the flattened caps diameter and half it for the radius and drill in the center to prevent those vibrations that will prematurely wear out the carbon dampeners and motor. That lopsided imbalance is that cap trying to fly off.

Not for nothing; it would help to have a simple jig to get the hole in the center, and removing the messy burrs before adding the bolt/nut to secure would allow it to sit perpendicular to the rotation. Could you imagine a world where rotary tools, potentially made for a specific purpose like this, with interchangeable bits existed, potentially made by a company founded by Albert J Dremel, or even off brand tools with nearly the same purpose and build quality, potentially with even better build quality? Could you only imagine being able to have more control and dexterity with a small portable device, and maybe being able to go to the nearest store that supplies hardware and or freight from the Harbor? Lmao these life hacks get worse and worse every time I accidentally stumble across one.
