This is the Little Mermaid reboot we deserve. Not that hot garbage Disney is trying to peddle to the masses.

The worst part is that the ending is actually semi true. The person the mermaid was in love with got with someone else (I believe the original story said he married his nanny). Don't quote me. One of the originals the mermaid was actually a merman who fell in love with a human man. The man turned out to be straight, though, and ofc married someone else. Both stories have the same ending. The mermaid/merman turns into foam that forms on the oceans surface (sea foam).

That’s the ending the original genuinely deserves. Ariel’s a narcissistic hoarder who nearly dooms her entire species over some guy she never met and at the end learns nothing but still gets exactly what she wants.
