Little NavMap Basics: A Quick & Dirty Tutorial Covering Flight Plan Basics

After fielding quite a few questions about setting up or altering our plans in LNM, I figured a crash course to cover the basics might add some value to your simming experience. Hope this helps!

I'm not sure what key it is, but if you're talking about zoom, I use the scroll wheel on my mouse. I bet there is a key mapped for it though.

I tried 2x to send a Thank You for the recommendation, which did contain the info i was looking for. .Both times it didnt post . I am not understanding whats going on. Sending this without the Reply pathway. If you see this ,Many Thanks.

So I open little nav map, I create a flight plan and save it. Then I open flight simulator 2020 and on the home screen where you set your origin and destination, I click on the load from computer button and select the flight plan I just saved. But nothing happens in flight simulator. Isn't it supposed to load itself up into flight simulator automatically and into the GPS and autopilot settings? Am I missing a step?

Maybe ... if you look a couple lines down from where you are saving the flight plan in LNM, you'll see "Export Flight Plan As MSFS 2020 PLN" are you clicking on that one after you save the original file? The sim won't recognize the .lnmpln file, but it will recognize the second extension, which should be .pln Hitting the export command will also be the prompt to select your parking/starting spot.

I wonder if you can help. when you say left click to move the flight plan between two points, you get a little cross pointer as you hover over the line. When i try to left click it just keeps moving the whole map around. I cant seem to be able to move the yellow line as you do while left clicking. Is there something i am missing?

Are you clicking and holding or just clicking? If you just click (and then release) it will activate. But if you hold it will move the map around.

@@MSFSFlightPlans Just tried and even a short click does nothing, i don't see the crosshair to move the line about. All i see is the little hand from the mouse click, weird. No worries.

Jeez, that is definitely strange. Unless you just installed it (or maybe even if you did), I might try totally deleting the app and reinstalling it.

Does this have routes for updated AIRAC from MSFS A320 FBW?

Not sure, if you load up the app (it's free) they have all kinds of linking and route import options. I always used Simbrief for my liner flights. I use LNM mostly for local sightseeing routes where I'm not concerned about airways, SIDs, and STARs as I always keep the live traffic off for our uploaded flights.

Yeah, I lived in the northeast for a while. They kicked me out for talking too slow, so I've had a bit of a complex ever since. I've tried to moderate my rate of speech, but my brain is always a few steps ahead of my mouth, which constantly struggles to catch up. I'm working on it! Thanks for checking out the channel despite my word-blur.
