Steve Rock and roll is rock and metal is also rock. Rock in its purest form is rock and roll, every genre has its purest form with its standard title, and if you was to say rock was separate from rock and roll, the rock don’t have a standard standalone genre, because that is rock and roll. Nothing in history determined the separation of rock and rock and roll, it’s the same genre, it’s just rock is short for it and the more common term used for it as it’s short, just like R&B is short for rhythm and blues. All rock stars from 50s to present call is rock and roll, same as books and documentaries. The rock and roll hall of fame is called the rock hall for short. Chuck Berry even said rock was short for rock and roll. Countless movies call it rock and roll. Don’t read self made articles on the internet made by non official. Black and white people made rock and roll, and Little Richard in particular was the architect, don’t be offended that a black man invented it.

Steve don’t matter how much you say this bullshit, it don’t change the fact of what I said is a fact, it ain’t a matter of opinion or debate, it’s a fact.

Steve metal came about in like 1968 from sabbath erupting and hard rock songs like Helter skelter by the Beatles. Little Richard was just one of the people who invented rock and roll, which is a massive deal for rock as a whole obviously. Metal itself is just a sub-genre that late 60s rock and roll groups laid foundations.

How must Little Richard feel deep down inside to know that he was a huge influence on the fashion and music of James Brown , Jimi Hendrix , Sly Stone and Prince? That's a mind blowing amount of influence when you think about it. But it's all true . They all got their glam-soul swag from Little Richard Penniman.

In 1965 or so me and my Moms was watching the Mike Douglas Show when Little Richard was a guest. During Richard's performance I remember that off to the side on what I think was his own small stage was this guitar player who was doing all sorts of outlandish things with that guitar. I distinctly recall thinking to myself, “that guy’s crazy”. Many years later I realized that I had witnessed Jimi several years before he became the greatest guitarist of all time.

The Big Dipper is a celestial arrangement compromised of stars you see in the night sky. He is saying we are all stars but we haven't channeled ourselves to be presented to be admired by the world (to be placed in the dipper/cup and poured into the world). He's being really symbolic which often gets misunderstood as crazy. If you don't know that you are a star then you wont ever be a star, Hendrix knew he was a star and Richard backs this by saying he was a star back when he received him. Like wise, you have to believe you are before you truly are.
@PoisonPinball3 жыл бұрын
@@Jay_Khalil referring to the big dipper, the star formation, we all are stars. We are literally made of stars, I think he was saying that not every soul gets a chance to come down to earth and spread greatness and love. Something like that.

@theraceanalystphdprovingha41194 жыл бұрын
@@Hygelac1000 When "not true" follows a brand new context...tough to reply, but here goes. "Wayyy to much" is cultural and implies simply that Little Richard had outgrown his Macob, GA small town and "narrowed-minded" viewpoint. Little Richard was actually "wayyy too much" for the entire state of hateful and cruelly segregated Georgia. An aside, he admitted the entertainment business in the 50's and 60's trusted him behaving "feminine" around their "white" women, but not masculine. For racist America he was "wayyy too much"...too bright a shinibg star either way...that is how/why the "non-colored" people used his talents and were able to steal credit. Good looking out for Little Richard, but understand cultural venacular first.

Richard still owes Jimi $50 that he stiffed him on when Jimi missed the bus while on tour in Richards band. That was a weeks pay back in 1965, when Richard stiffed Jimi. Jimi went looking for the money when he saw Richard was in London in late '66. He went to Richards hotel. Richard let him up to his suite, but didn't pay him. He just kept saying "you missed the bus man, you missed the bus!" A year later, after Jimi was famous, Richard tried to get in see Jimi and Jimi wouldn't let him in. That's why in the film Richard mentions "they would never let me come back. I'd say 'why? What did I do'?" What did you do? You screwed Jimi out of $50 when he was a nobody, so he paid you back by saying 'screw you' after he was famous. Karma.

He doesn't have a problem stiffing a regular working Joe out of his wages. *MY, GAWD!!!* That's a man's livilhood. He could've handled an indiscretion like missing the bus in a more Christian manner, not taking food from a starving musicians mouth. Shame on you, Little Penis-Man! This is from the movie "Jimi Hendrix" (1973). I have it on dvd. I LOVE when Richard says @ 0:38 "....at times he used to make my big toe shoot up in my boot!" Classic! Jimi was something else, but so was Little Richard!

Thank you for editing all of these clips together. This is awesome! Some of the best parts of that movie, and some choice Little Richard moments.

I'm 56 years old, and I've been an Elvis, Beatles, Doors, R.Stones, 70s Classic Rock, U2, Motown, GNR, STP, Smiths, hell, Big Band too....fan of all that and much more...and not until 6/7/2020 did I ever know that L.Richard had J.Hendrix as his guitarist, helped the Beatles get their start--had a great influence on Paul M. vocals, James Brown was back-up vocalist and Impersonator of L.Richard,....until today from a few KZfaq Vids...if it's all true, what a magical life this man lived; and what a gift he has been for all of us. God Bless him.

Always liked how in the Hendrix film when Little Richard says "but Jimi was gonna take 'em HIGher than THAAAT!!" it went straight into The Star Spangled Banner performance at Woodstock. Obviously couldn't show that clip here because that non-blood related woman who makes out she's his sister and probably got Hendrix's father to sign the estate over to her when he was too old to know better, would have the video taken down.
