Awesome video! 1-Casey's glee when you had to go in that water!😂 2- seeing the pancakes "stacked" is the first time i actually registered where they got their name. 3- watching you handle Rocky and Blue make me realize that neither a litter of 13 Rottie puppies, nor managing cattle, is actually challenging. Big chops to you for the patience and love you give these critters that most of us will never get to see or touch. ❤

Once I helped a turtle/tortoise across the street in the scablands of WA. He/she peed on me, but I felt better about seeing it off the road. It was spring, so lots of little ponds. That’s the extent of my turtle experience. Love your channel

The Pancake tortoises are one of my favorite species. Had an opportunity to be involved in the care of a number of them in the mid 1980s. I currently have a couple of redfoots and a cherry head, but I must admit, these are my favorite

Since they don't have the threats of predators, would it be easier to make the rock crevices a few inches bigger so they can't wedge themselves in? Not enough to make them feel unsafe, but just enough to make health checks easier.

How do you introduce live plants or cleaner fish to an aquatic turtle, without them immediately eating them? I can never get them to last beyond a week. I have 2 Sawback Turtles.

You’d need to run an established aquatic set up with mature plants and fish long before you add turtles and it would need to be a large environment.
