When Eric starts his solo at 6:04, that first note, it gets into you like a sharp knife and makes you feel every hair raised :) sooooo good!

I can hear the sadness in Eric's voice as he honors his good buddy Jimi. Imagine at this point in life as to the many ups and downs he's lived through and overcame to reach a place of relative comfort while many of his peers have passed. RIP Jimi...your good buddy Eric still remembers.🙌🏼

It's so funny the way these influences tumble together. Jimi left this song to popular music, Derek picked it up in tribute (Warren rips the Bobby Whitlock vocal harmony addition), and now here we find the Trucks/Allman generation wading in the water that SRV left perfectly still. I'm so glad to have this music

Warren is one of those rare, PERFECT players that never hits a wrong note. His guitar work with the Brothers, Mule, and his solo stuff brings tears to my eyes at times. Check out "Your wildest Dreams" from Man in Motion....pure genius! And his voice is like a '59 Les Paul in the neck position.

I love the Allman Brothers--I have loved them since 1970--so this is not a poke at them but a statement of great respect: the Allman Brothers are the best back up band ever. They can play any song with anybody and make it greater than it was before. Clapton is great here, and together he & the Allman Brothers make this a wonderful "Little Wing."

Everyone who has the guts to play this song has to play it like they stole it. It is one of the greatest underrated songs of all time. Thanks Jimmy. My favorite version is Derek and the dominos live from 1970 where Bobby Whitlock is playing the hell out of his b 3. Peace and love to my fellow rock and roll lovers.

i cant stop watching Eric clapton, i am a blues guitar player and i have composed many blues songs of my own, my rythm, my solo, my lyrics., and Eric clapton has alywas been my mentor, and still, and i am from Saudi Arabia, and the culture of the blues is really rare, thats why i am sad, but i have a plan, i am trying to introduce my community to the blues, so i will be the first one, and who knows, maybe some American companies could invest this music here. but if i make this come true. i will be proud of my self. please pray for me

Yeah he shoots Derek a little sideways grin. I watched a movie recently about when Jimi Hendrix first went to London and started playing in small clubs. He gets on stage with Clapton and does this incredible rift, and Clapton unplugged his guitar and left the stage saying ' is he really this fucking good'? I don't know if that actually happened that way, but Clapton was crushed when Jimi died and he recorded Little Wing in tribute not long after.

Idk why this got so many negative votes he didnt say they were bad, he said great guitarists....and its true they really dont use their pinkies like a lot of players during solos neither do I. probably bc of all they bends and vibrato they use. Eric Clapton is my favorite thats probably why i learned to play like that as well. It doesnt matter pinky or no pinky as long as it sounds amazing like this. His phrasing is so amazing isnt it?
