Writer-director Greta Gerwig (Lady Bird) has crafted a Little Women that draws on both the classic novel and the writings of Louisa May Alcott, and unfolds as the author’s alter ego, Jo March, reflects back and forth on her fictional life. In Gerwig’s take, the beloved story of the March sisters - four young women each determined to live life on her own terms -- is both timeless and timely. Portraying Jo, Meg, Amy, and Beth March, the film stars Saoirse Ronan, Emma Watson, Florence Pugh, Eliza Scanlen, with Timothée Chalamet as their neighbor Laurie, Laura Dern as Marmee, and Meryl Streep as Aunt March.

The cinematography is so beautiful, yet so homely. This trailer is a visual treat on a good computer monitor.

Surprising the editor didn't accept the script at all,considering in that time they didn't accept any prose, be at all any product, written by a woman. Luckily she earned $20 back then, it truly was acceptable to pay the bills since most women were still considered property back then and were second-class citizens; thus, could not own property. I should know, my Great-Aunt Grimaldi had similar pressures while living in turn-of-the-century America, she even built houses for families back then who paid her rent.

My least favorite part of these ten minute previews is when they end. I always get sucked in and remember it’s a preview. Such a great movie. Top 3 of 2019 for sure. Can’t wait to rewatch it
