Restitched actually started out life as a straight up free LittleBigPlanet Restitched fan game for the PC, (Hence the name) but Sony gave it the ban hammer with a cease and desist, so now it can only continue without any of the related copyrighted materials and characters. A LBP game on PC would be impossible unless it was released under Sony themselves, and the only one they bothered doing was Sackboy: A Big Adventure. (Since it's understandably much easier to port with it having less features) Another thing that's probably preventing them to ever port these games is the whole server situation. Even if the vast majority weren't already nuked by hackers beforehand, they would still be an absolute nightmare to maintain. The fact that we even had them at all and so flawlessly for three separate titles on such a notoriously difficult to program for system like the PS3 is honestly an achievement in of itself, let alone servers via emulation. The final nail in the coffin is that they already started to deviate away from the LBP franchise with Sackboy as his own character/mascot. They don't have *any* interest in making an their LBP game ever again and it shows. The last LBP game that came out was nearly a decade ago in 2014 with LBP3, and they abandoned that pretty early n with the last DLC being released for it in very very early 2017 as well, so even if you want to be more optimistic about it that's still well over 6 years ago. The truth is that they don't think making a sequel, or port, or remake, or whatever is necessary. They got all the money they needed and they don't have to do any extra work anymore. It's like all the the abandoned franchises out there. The AAA companies approving them for release don't care about integrity or legacy, they only care about money n the short term. It doesn't matter he popular a thing gets, if it does't reach their unrealistic marketing goals then they will abandon them forever as soon as the sales dip even by a little bit. Such is the fate of many others like Rareware with Nintendo, Rayman, Darkstalkers, Burnout, Rampage, Bionicle, Acceleracers, and countless others, and very rarely do they ever get bought back at all just to sell some nostalgia brownie points, and not actually do anything worth of significance with them. If it's a company like Rareware then it gets even worse, since they will prioritize a few that nags over others. For example, you won't have any problems seeing them acknowledge Banjo-Kazooie it was released in the N64's prime, but Conker on the other hand has been getting it *real* bad. So now that LittleBigPlanet is 100% owned by Sony and not Media Molecule, you can expect LBP related material far less in the same manner. All of this is a long way of saying what should unfortunately be obvious: *Nothing close to that will ever happen again.* It was lightning caught in a bottle, so they'd rather forget about it as best they can and move on. Let's just appreciate the few games like Restitched and Dreams that still exist taking some inspiration, because otherwise without them we would surely have nothing.

even though nearly all of lbp's file formats (models, items, adventures, levels, materials, and even the game's shaders, you name it) have been reverese engineered, it's a far cry from the monumental task that would be reverse engineering every single piece of code into readable code, and porting it from there for that matter.

Thankfully these levels aren’t actually made from scratch. They were strangely ported from lbp1 using some method I of course wouldn’t know of.

@@Efan937 most likely using netcheat to enter create mode in basically any level and saving it to your moon. Either that or Craftworld Toolkit.

@@drauncj I haven’t checked, but I’m pretty sure you can’t use decorations for sticker switches. I’ll tell you if it’s true or not

Yea there’s 1 for lbp2 , lbp psp reconstructed is being worked on and the down under is already finished , and lbp vita remastered is in progress . Along with prehistoric moves remastered that I finished a while ago .

Pause the game, go to settings, press unlocks and click lbp2. It gives you everything from lbp2 including the background.

This is likely done by taking the copyable level uploads from LBP1 posted by genrist, squeezing them into one level and fixing some weird issues that happen because they are kinda unstable, but the magic mouths don't port the voices properly, so u have to reset them yourself, which this dude missed then.
