@@LittleBlessedNest he got out of the hospital tonight (Monday night), my daughter when I talked to her a few minutes ago, said he seams like he is ok. They sent him home with a lot of prescriptions. I did not get to talk to her long, I could tell in her voice how tired she was. She going to call me in the morning. I will get more information then. Really surprise that they sent him home.

I vote yes on the broom closet, makes sense and like the idea of shelves in the top for linens. I say yes to shelves above the washer, make the lowest one just above the electrical outlet. With shelves there it will take the eye away from the washer hook up till you figure how to disguise it. I say no on the board and batten, it's perfect how you have it, it's a focal wall now. Yes on the fireplace with a nice mantel wide enough for a candle or small decor. All your ideas are good ones, just tackle one at a time, we're all with you for the ride!

If you do a shelf behind your washer dryer, make sure you can still open the washer lid all the way. I had to raise my shelf because the washer lid wouldn't stay open while I loaded and unloaded the washer. It was aggravating.

Hey Stephanie, hope Timmy and your mom feel better soon... so many with that nasty stomach bug... I posted earlier and I don't know if it posted because I can't seem to find it... I posted several tips and links... for delicates in washer, use a pillow case with a zipper, keeps the item from rubbing directly against the agitator you can build your own butcher block top for a lot less than store brought, the link showed how to do it in 6 steps: measure size and depth, select wood, maple or a hard wood suggested, glue pieces together, cut ends, use a belt sander to sand top and sides smooth, clear coat with food safe poly I agree with another poster about use of composite over wood... Trex is about $5-12/ sq ft, pressure treated lumber is $6-14... for the water hoses, there was also a link where the blogger built a small box, open at the bottom with a lift up lid, it was about 2-3 in deep (projecting from the wall)... I want to link it but yt might think it to be spam I think the hall closet is a great idea and next project... I am certain your dad and/or brother would be happy to assist with the removal of the existing materials, next the office (loved all your ideas), living space (not sure about the different wall ideas but you have an excellent eye for this, so I am sure it will turn out), kitchen (East Coast DIY channel did like million can lights in her kitchen by herself -hubby in military, you got this), bedroom and bathroom, then porch... I am changing my 14 yr old grandson's room from youth gamer to teen gamer... I paint one wall a day, I get you on being tired and the motivation... look forward to seeing your plans come to fruition over the next few months!

I think all of the ideas are great! One thing that concerns me is your linen/mop closet. Me, I personally wouldn't want mops in with my clean linens/blankets. Mops and the like are dirty, and I wouldn't want them close to my sheets. Maybe it's just me 🤷🏼‍♀️. Your mobile is gorgeous and feels comfy cozy. 😍 love it!

Build a fake box to put over water lines open on the bottom so lines can still go down. Put a shelf all the way across the top of your washer and dryer. Then that would make room for some cabinets above the washer and dryer where your shel currently is located. That would give you more closed storage.

You just let yourself rest. You need time to get strength back. It will all be there for you in another week or so. I think you should do whatever project that would be the most useful to you. Getting a porch, sitting in a rocker, having beautiful flowers, having a pretty outside paint job. Broom closet. Whatever you would most enjoy and need should be next. I like the idea of the gas logs. We had them once and loved it. We are all electric now and have little fireplaces that look like old stoves in living room and bedroom. The one unit that we have is dual AC and heat does not work well heatwise. It is warm enough in FL that the firepace heaters are all we need most of the time. I enjoy the cosy feel they give and gas ones are even much better. I love that top you have on. Did you get it recently. I want one. Timmy having room and being safe is most important so whatever works with that is good. I like the hall trimmed out and loving the black wall as it is. But if you change it ok you always make it look good. Keep resting yourself. Feel better Timmy.❤

Stephanie, in your laundry room, you could get a flat sided basket and put a faux ivy that spills over and that would cover your hoses. It would be an inexpensive fix. You would need to nail the basket above the little hose insert thing. I hope you understand what I'm describing. The beam in your living room kitchen ceiling, why couldn't you just paint in a wood color instead of going to the expense of wrapping it. There are so many faux techniques you could try. Just an idea. I think you would be happier having a hall closet where that heating vent thing is. I have a long wooden shelf up behind my washer and dryer. I have drop down cabinets so I can put things on the top. I have an antique scrub board and a antique iron, a large ball jar with some old fashion clothes pins. Stuff like that. Also Hobby Lobby has some old looking metal laundry signs you can buy and put in the walls. Just some tips! . Go online or look in magazines to get some new ideas. Your home is just beautiful. I saw the before pics and you have made a little blest nest for sure. I know you are there everyday and see the same things but your home looks like a picture in a magazine. It's warm, inviting and very charming! A Nana from Texas.

So my thought for the laundry space is to Build a shelf along the back wall at the height just above the hookups on the left side and then carrying a shelf over those hookups so it's worth like an L shaped shelf. Then you could hook up a curtain ride under that side shelf and hang curtain to hide the hookups. You could use fabric or sheet which is close to the color of the wall to make it blend in, or do something fun with the fabric.

I love your shiplap wall! Our water hoses are like yours, but right behind the washer and above it, ugh! I thought about making a fabric cover for them like people do for the chains on their porch swings.. You could get a ceiling mount fan/light after you do the beam. That would look great and fan would hug the ceiling (no pole). Hope Timmy feels better very soon. Enjoyed seeing Bonnie and her belly rubs. Pace yourself. We're not going anywhere without you! xx

You could put a shelf above the electric socket and it could go all across . The wires do usually go behind the washer and dryer. Maybe a partial wood box covering your wires, you could leave it open in the back so you could get to them if you needed to. Also they do make coverings that can cover computer wires , etc. maybe some of those wood work.

I hope you and Timmy are both all better soon. I really liked your top. The colors in it look good on you. I think Bonnie wanted you to lie down with her. Whatever you choose to do will be great. You might want to put a plant in your bedroom, maybe on the dresser. Some plants act as filters and help you breathe and sleep better. The broom closet is wonderful idea. I want to do the same thing. I have no place for brooms, vacuums nor for excess cleaning supplies. Give Irvin and Bonnie I scratch for me. Looking forward to your next video. Thank you! Blessings!

I think we must be looking forward to spring. We have lots of snow and more coming, so looking at projects and thinking about gardening are fun to do right now. I listened to you, and you sound like you are doing the same. I am so amazed about the beautiful things you have done with your home. Sometimes when we have a lot of ideas, hopes for projects, we will make a list, and then rewrite it, by priority: what will make life better, or prevent problems down the road, higher on the list. I like the ideas for the broom closet, (I don't have one either, and would love one!) Also the shelves in the laundry room will be so practical! I think when putting in the shelves, you could put a little lightweight box-like structure over the water hoses, maybe mount it with hidden hooks or 3M nail-less velco stick-ons, so it can be easily removed if work is needed on the hoses, or to turn water on or off. (Maybe out of thinner wood panel). I put in shelves in the laundry area about a year ago, and I can't imagine how we got along without them! Thanks for your great video! Hope Timmy is feeling better!

Oh my goodness, EASY TO HIDE THE WASHER WATER PIPES!! Just make a wood Box (paint white) and have a cut out for the pipes running down the side of the washer. Put a straight board on top of the wooden box to make a shelf. I see it in my head, not sure u can vision what I’m trying to describe 😄. You can also make small fake cabinet with the cutout underneath it to let the pipes run down the side of the washer.

Stephanie, you have some great ideas unfortunately they all take time, money & energy, not to mention, some know how!! It’s certainly fun to dream, though! Even when you think a project is going to be easy, you know how quickly it can become challenging! So don’t be too hard on yourself…some projects can be very intimidating!! 😉 The beam in your main living area is a great idea & I still think it could work by using a flush mount ceiling fan but you would have to check how wide your beam would have to be to accommodate it. As far as covering the hoses in your laundry room, I would build a shallow “box” with only two sides (one on the top & the other along the side facing out) and of corse a bottom. The bottom of the box would run parallel to the side of your washing machine. With the back side open to allow for the hoses to exit, if that makes sense? I would run the box all the way to the floor, I think? I would anchor it on the wall just about the opening for the hoses. Depending on how far you made it go back towards the wall the washer backs up to, you might be able to rest a shelf on it just above your washer & dryer?? Obviously, you would need brackets to hold up the shelf all along the wall too. You could place a trailing plant in the corner to disguise the transition between the “box” & the shelf. If none of this makes sense, please reach out to me…I think it is an easy solution and one you could definitely do!! You could paint the “box” the same as your wall before hanging it. You could possibly use “L” brackets to secure the box in place. I hope you find an acceptable solution to your hose problem…that would drive me crazy too!! 😉😀💕 Love your videos…you are doing a great job with all of your projects!!

Hi Stephanie you've given us a lot to think about. First thing is I wouldn't put up a dark beam in the living room I think it would take away from your lovely decorations. I would paint the black wall another color maybe the same color as your hall way or you could buy the same brick wall boarding and cover the black then paint it the same color as I mentioned as the pantry door. Another thing, in the kitchen next to the pantry door I would do the same thing you did in the hall to make it blend together and look like it was meant to be that way. In the bedroom if you use the brown bamboo blinds I would get some throw pillows for your bed with some browns in it to pull the room together. I know I've probably talked too much but these are my suggestions. God Bless, Kathy

Good morning, I love all your ideas especially the broom closet. ..you could paint that wall a different color for an accent wall in your bedroom. Again thank you for everything you have a blessed day and I’m glad you’re feeling better and I hope your family is on the mend. Have a blessed day may God be with you always.

I love the board and batten. I think you should run it through the living room.

Could you get two wall cabinets from Habitat for Humanity or Facebook Marketplace, for above your washer and dryer? Those would hide all your laundry products and cleaning supplies. I know things are tight financially, I think everyone is really feeling the "pinch". I think you have great ideas and you have made your mobile home into a very warm & cozy living space! 🥰

I like the board and batten replacing the shiplap. I also like the broom closet idea. The fireplace would add an extra coziness to the living room. You have such good ideas. Please tell Timmy that we hope he is feeling better.

You have a lot of awesome ideas! Spring seems to get people’s creative juices flowing. I have a few ideas for outside, but will I actually do them?🧐🙄 I’m looking forward to watching you change up the different areas👍🏼😊 Prayers that Timmy feels better soon. So sorry to hear everyone has been down with it😢 Blessings 🙏

I love your house! And I love your decorating style. You could always put a wall basket with some greenery hanging down to cover the washer plug in. Ours is right in the middle of our washer and dryer. So it kind of sticks out like a sore thumb lol.

Excellent ideas for your house and yes definitely know that lack of motivation to get started. I’m amazed at all that you have done. I think making your broom closet would be a good place to start. I enjoy your videos.

Thank goodness I remembered I would need a broom closet before we finished the house so my husband was able to add it.

You need to watch Hannah’s Happy Home videos and check out the shelf above her washer and dryer. Her laundry space is different than yours but it might give you some ideas on how to make it work for you. I love all of your home improvement ideas!! Looking forward to you bringing them to life. As for the broom closet I say GO FOR IT!!
