When I went to college (gymnasium) in the early 00s, I used to work at a movie theater in inner city Copenhagen. Sometimes on thursdays we would have big premiere nights, and I remember one night, after we had let all the celebs inside the cinema, I went out to take a quick smoking break. The movie had only been running for like 25 mins. Halfway through my cigarette, Mads Mikkelsen is suddenly stood next to me, asking for a light. I candidly ask him "um, aren't you in this movie, mister?" He just puts up a grin and says "pure crap", and we just talk about nothing for a short while. Maybe two months later, I'm working behind the counter in the café inside the movie theater, as Mikkelsen walks by some 20-30 feet away from the counter. He immediately catches my eye contact, and smiles as to confirm like "so did you see it? It was crap, wasn't it?" Definitely recognized me, although our encounter was like 40 seconds long and two months back in time. That says a lot about being very aware and intelligent, and of course pretty personable too. It is great to see that he hasn't lost any party of himself through all his successes in his career. Seems a good man.

"can i have pizza with the people on it?" and he stares that kid like he about to eat him 😭😭
