Hello everyone! I'm very excited to show you today's video. This is something I had wanted to do for a long time. I was inspired by the channel Dolly Lolly Playtime (please check out her amazing Littlest Pet Shop customs, see the link below!). I thought a long time about which My Little Pony generation to honour with these five. I mean, five of them... it HAD to be G4 or G5. But nope :P Chalotte (a Patreon supporter and good friend of the channel) suggested G1s. And... you know I love G1s. So I turned the LPS into Year One (1982-1983) Collector's Pose ponies :D

Littlest Petshop and MLP were huge when I was a kid, I even catch myself looking at the new LPS sets when I'm out shopping. This mash-up is making my inner child just shriek with delight.

@@DH-gq7bm They still make them but I'll be honest, the Gen 4 that came out in the mid 2010's have some of the most terrifyingly huge and misshapen heads of the lot. The horses especially. They are like giant Gen 4 MLP heads on bodies only a third of the size of the head.

I love these so much. Both MLP and LPS were huge parts of my childhood... I do think if you'd painted the saddles the eye and/or mane color (a mix of both would have been interesting) that'd have been neat but these are all adorable no matter what!

Thank you 😊😊 I thought about painting the saddles and I couldn't pick a colour. I was scared they would stand out too much and make the ponies look less like their G1 inspiration. Next time, I would remove the saddles, I think!

HUGE thanks for sharing names of the materials! Primers, paints, other stuff like epoxy putty or peroxide. This helps to understand what is needed for work and what exactly is worth taking, as a recommendation. As a beginner I often feel anxious when it comes for choosing materials. I like that you kept the style of the LPS eyes with these! It's a bit strange you didn't paint their saddles a coordinating colour though and just made them the same as their skin. Maybe if you made it their hair/eye colour? And also if you painted their hooves

Its neat that you do different toy customs and not just one type. I loved Lps the most as a kid, so this was right up my alley. Although I don't really care for the horses. I just don't think they have cute sculpts. I think you did them justice turning them into something new and paying homage to mlp. They all turned out super cute and would definitely compliment your ponies! Like a little mini me for your mlps

when you took their original colors off they looked like little zombie ponies with their grey eyes! luckily they came back to life ;) I love how they turned out in the end and how you put their cutie marks as the reflection in their eyes

youtube hid this video from me! I'm glad I found it on a lazy sunday morning though :) I think G1 was a good choice - the littlest ponies having saddles implies that there're riders around. IIRC the only humans in MLP world are Megan and her siblings, and they are part of G1. as a kid, I had a Butterscotch toy (although I named her Elisabeth (with S)) but her hair was bright white instead of yellow. I think that white hair was one of the reasons she was one of my favourites. Thanks for sharing your video!

Thank you, I'm really glad the videos added to your lazy Sunday morning 😊😊 I thought a lot about the saddles (did you watch "The Toys that Made Us" and how Bonnie Zacherle says "NO saddles on ponies!!"?) and how to remove them, but I didn't want to lose my fingers. I like your idea about Megan. I think I'd have loved Butterscotch as a child, the hair looks like it's made of gold. About the voiceovers, I enjoy doing them (a lot) but they take much longer and I haven't been able to make enough time due to work. Hopefully next one 😊

Super cute. The little saddles are throwing be off though since they match the main color of the pony, but it's not that bad. If you decide to attempt coloring the saddles though, try using the mane color. It's already on the pony so that color wouldn't stand out too much.

i loveee them and so happy to see one of my favorite restorer/customizers doing LPS! I LOVE how you made their eye-shine shapes the cutiemarks! def LPS aesthetic right there. I collect them to this day, so much nostalgia. One thing I was sad about at the end, thought, was that their saddles were the same color as their fur

I love your videos and never would have expected an LPS customizing one! You did amazing! If you ever plan on doing another video like this I suggest using LPS zebras instead of horses, since they don't have saddles. :)

There are two types of artists: those with pristine palettes, and those with palettes caked in so many acrylic layers that they can no longer be cleaned.

Weeeell... I never have a problem cleaning them when I get to it, the leftovers just slide as soon as you push them because the acrylic doesn't stick to the plastic. But I don't do it nealy enough xD

Interesting what paint do you use to paint them as well as seal the paint ?

I use Vallejo acrylic paints (I like the brand, the paint is really smooth) and seal them with Mr Super Clear spray 😊

Do the Ponies have a different texture when you paint them? They look like they have the same texture but idk

They have a slightly different texture, but barely. Because the plastic is hard, so the difference is not noticeable unless you're very close. The acrylic paint is not very strong, though, it can chip so you need to seal it (and it's still not very strong) 😊

It is sad now the new LPS are nothing like the old ones. The old ones were much better. Such a huge selection of animals and all those accessories, cages, enclosures and other things...And the animal designs also looked better than the new stuff. My favorite were the dogs, cats and mice that could run on a wheel and move around with the use of a magnet.

I'm not very familiar with LPS, to be honest, I'm still learning. I think the ones I have are all older. And I find them very cute. But I have to explore more 😊😊

Están preciosos, pero, en mi opinión, deberías pintarle los cascos y forjas también, para que sean más prolijos y acabados, sino, parecen a medio hacer o de baja calidad(cuando nada que ver) Es mi opinión nomás, igual.

As others have said, LPS was a big part of my childhood. I’m still bummed out my mom gave away the houses/vet sets but I still have all of my figures thankfully. I do have some doubles of ones I own, maybe I’ll do a custom one day.

Have you ever had a restore or a custom go so wrong, you hated it? Like the spirit of the pony/toy wanted to be something else.

I haven't done customs I didn't like yet, just because I haven't tried many. Some restorations did go wrong, though, and I haven't shown those. But in general, I'm never 100% satisfied with anything either so.... it's a learning process 😊😊
