‘Liuliu Liilii’ (Little Wave) acrylic pour/straight pour

This acrylic pour created using a straight pour technique. As I stood around looking at it I noticed a little wave in the middle, hence the name Little Wave was born. As much as I like the title Little Wave for this straight pour, I wanted it to be special. With the combination of the other colors it reminded me of Hawaii and then Liuliu Liilii (Hawaiian for little wave) came to be it's final name. The colors in this acrylic straight pour are so vibrant yet calming. I hope you enjoy this video as much as I did making it. This is one of my favorites so far.

Beautiful as always. You are the Goddess of straight pours I swear. When you were adding the white around the edges I thought you were humming along. Then I realized it was my cat who was sleeping. Hope that brought you a smile. Have a blessed, safe day.

I can always count at least 24 layers in your cup this one had a whooping 40 layers. Absolutely stunning. The combo of the fire opal and Bordeaux with the smokey blues are just breath taking. Thank you for this brilliant piece of eye candy. Be safe, be happy and breathe.

It has this little Yin and yang thing going on in the middle. Like a balance between dark and light right next to each other dead square in the middle and it looks like it’s below a sunset. It reminds me of like good and evil. This painting is absolutely gorgeous. Another beautiful painting!

I've never been found of red but Artezas Bordeaux Red blows me away. It reminds me of a ruby ring that I have that belonged to my grandmother. The color is what she called pigeon blood red and it's beautiful just like Artezas Bordeaux Red. You have a good eye for color and the way you put your colors together is beautiful. I love your work Sarah you're an awesome artist!

Sarah I love this piece for so many reasons. You mentioned your concern for how much gold you used. It appears to me that the gold has in many cases created a layer just be nice some of the colors. A lot of them I mean. And the result was this richness in color. You are an inspiration for me. I watch how you layer your colors. I watch their order and the small amounts that you use for each layer. The first time I saw you do this I thought it was going to be all muddy. Now I understand the variety of shades you can get with your Technique. Thank you so much for sharing. Stay well and be safe. And keep painting. BTW I am so jealous of your studio! 🤗🌹
