Plastic Man starred in the 1979-1981 spin-off series The Plastic Man Comedy/Adventure Show voiced by Michael Bell. He was given a bumbling Hawaiian sidekick named Hula-Hula and a blonde-bombshell girlfriend called Penny (whom he later married). While Plastic Man villains Carrotman, Doctor Dome, and Doctor Honctoff were featured, the other villains Plastic Man fought were exclusive to the TV series. Later, the cast was joined by their son Baby Plas.

Just seeing this now. Wow, thanks for the comment. I'm the guy who created the live action show. It used to take us hours to set up some of those gags. The tire was rolled with monofilament wire towards the camera, and then we put Taylor in to stand up from the same position. The suitcase and long arms was another story. I'm glad people are still getting a kick out of this stuff. Steve Whiting

@@wandcoedit i LOVED the live-action Plas. I was 10 when I saw this originally, and that tire effect stayed w/me for DECADES. Why? Because it gave me SUCH a good laugh, and I really appreciated someone going through the trouble to make a tire look like Plas for that gag (yes, that IS how I thought at 10...I...wasn't normal =] ). Not sure if I ever saw the suitcase before. Real fun stuff...and am now watching the Plas at DNC video....

I wanted to see what other shows you’d maybe worked on that’d I’d be aware of because the style feels reminiscent to other shows I’d watched growing up, but you’ve kinda come across as a jerk with your reply so I don’t even care anymore.

Plastic Man's dialogues between him and any combatants of any future installment of this franchise would be absolutely untouchable and godlike,in regards to the witty quips he'd toss in the directions of his opponents decimating any and all pride they may possess. He'd roast EVERYONE and they momma! No one on the roster would be safe from his remorseless banter, especially if he doesn't like said person getting verbally toasted. And that's not even mentioning how badass his move set would be considering the powers he contains. Continuing to leave this DC OG out of the videogames is a huge INJUSTICE❕❗❕ And I'm sure any and all comic book readers would agree,especially if they're life long readers of the classic DC issues. If Atom had a chance to make it in than y the hell can't he🤦🏾‍♂️ Not to mention the fact that he's such a relatable, loveable,and an all around down to earth character. Those are the kinds of characters we should see more in the forefront of projects than most honestly. #plasticman4injustice3🤞🏾 #pleasemakeithappennrs🙏🏾

This live action DC Plastic Man show is very awesome and funny. If people did a live action DC solo movie about the DC Hero Plastic Man for the DCEU. I would watch this Plastic Man movie in theaters, buy the action figure and I would give the Plastic Man movie and the figure a 10 out of 10. 100%.

There wasnt any when it ran on Saturday Mornings. This is the syndicated version that ran weekdays after school. They put in additional shows produced by Ruby Spears that ran on their own seperately, like Goldie Gold, and Heathcliff.

Oddly enough, Rickety Rocket, Goldie Gold and the rest featured toons sans Plas himself (most likely due to the hawaiian stereotype/Woozy substitute) were shown on Boomerang around 2003-2004 as seperate shorts between shows
