We will be there in 2 weeks and I'm so excited. Its nice to see that except for the loud, terrible sounding stero speaker at the main pool, the resort has the nice chill vibe we are looking for. If there is one thing you'd recommend taking that most wouldn't think of what would it be?

The music doesn’t start until 4pm at the main pool! And the quiet pools are always quiet! Straws, liquid IV and pool float are probably my three most important things.

Are you asking about shipping things to the resort? Typically not. It will get held up in customs

Secrets Cap Cana is the only other AO Resort in Punta Cana we’ve been to. The others there have been family resorts. We don’t go to Dominican Republic as often.

I'm with you, I love vacation, but when I'm ready to go home, I'm ready. Just curious, did you fly out of JFK just due to lower flight costs? I've thought about it, but living 15 minutes from Bradley....well convenience usually wins lol

Well, the price is often lower (but it’s kind of a wash when factoring in trains, Uber, etc), but it’s the only way to get a nonstop flight and get home at a decent hour. When we have a layover we usually don’t get back to BDL until after midnight, and my new thing is not flying back to BDL if I can’t land before 10pm. I just hate getting home at 1am. It screws up my whole next day!

It’s the nonstop for me. My husband hates flying and the options are so limited from BDL.

Things really went downhill with options when JetBlue canceled their nonstop to Cancun! I keep hoping they will bring it back! It was always sold out, so I feel like it was a good route for them 🤷🏻♀️
