I am black, but i don't think Ben's removal as deputy of Reform UK was racially motivated. Ben Habib failed to deliver a seat for Reform, it's only proper for the leader and deputy leader of Reform to be MPs. Also, I think it's to do with parliamentary protocol. When the Kneeler is away, his deputy, Ange, answers PMQ's, but is paired with the deputy leader of the official opposition too, who is the only one allowed to ask questions, not the leader. So, this might equally apply to deputies of all parties.

Really? And your chairman can be a diversity donor? Reforms MPs aren't that good and when Lee Anderson was the only Reform MP we didn't make him leader. Don't let this party be "proefisionalised" into something that no longer represents us. Ben was doing the party a favour by running in a tough seat twice and is now being treated like he isn't good enough. He is very articulate and I'd say more in tune with what we think than anyone in that party.

@@alexb7799 Judge us on what we do, not what's in the past and can't be undone. I think Ben is a fantastically logical speaker. I hope he stays with us. He was excellent box office during the GE campaign. No one knows exactly how "amateurish" the infrastructure of Reform might have been, but we now have the short money from Parliament now to fund organisation - real local branches, networks so we can get local people to campaign at by - elections. Lee was an army of one in Parliament, (same as Corbyn) so the rules about leaders, deputies etc did not apply. And Farage and Tice still owned the company.

So what? He was doing the party a favour by running in Wellingborough. Most of the five elected aren't very good. I want the party led by competent and articulate people whether they are in or out of parliament. Reform could've been and was unique like that. Lee Anderson was in parliament when the rest weren't but we didn't make him leader. It would make the party feel more like a popular movement rather than "professionalising" to become another elitist club. Ben has served the party and is being treated badly and arbitrarily by a leader that won't be here forever so unless you want it to collapse as soon as he steps down I suggest you don't support him in "professionalising" the party into something that doesn't represent us.

Seriously? He stood in a very difficult seat that he knew he wasn't going to win but still put the effort into campaigning. He is trying to avoid the party being "professionalised" into something that no longer represents us. Reforms MPs aren't very good and you want to reduce the leadership to that when there is so much talent on the right? Is the best way to run a popular movement to gatekeep it to diversity donors and the few MPs you have? He's said multiple times it isn't about the role but the arbitrary way the leadership cast him aside with no consultation which certainly isn't good enough communication if you want to encourage people to join and build your party. If you let this become solely the Farage party it will collapse as soon as he retires.

Don't let's pre-judge the reorgansation and "professionalisation". Those may well prove completely organisational things - to set up real branches and a communication network, so we can better campaign at the inevitable by-elections, e.g. Has anyone said our policies have changed? Have the boats kept coming? Is net zero still killing our economy? Is the Kneeler still completely policy and principle lite? But, yes, I agree - without Nigel, we are a non- entity again.

Congratulations Ben Habib, your massive ego has caused the first divisive rift in the Reform Party. Reform is not a one man band but 5 of its members actually won a seat in HoC. Two of them are happy with their place. 98 candidates came 2nd, but you didn’t. Concentrate on the fight instead of your own importance.

This is nothing more than a pissing contest. Both are stalwarts in themselves, Nigel, before asking Ben to resign should have had another Important position for Ben to fill. Ben is a asset to the Reform party and the little boys should grow up and behave, they shouldn't act like the other parties

@paulchristopher8634 Agreed. Ben appears to be following the Tory playback by endless moaning in public. However, he's a great tv pundit and debater who challenges the critics in an effective way. I hope that Ben reads all the comments and acts accordingly as most are appalled and want him to put country before party - by supporting Reform UK by shutting up. I do like Ben Habib but I'm really disappointed in him. But yes, I absolutely agree with you and the many others who feel let down by Ben.

If Zia Yusuf becomes leader of Reform, they won't get my vote again. I don't buy the whole "Muslim, but just as British as you!" rhetoric, a Muslim is a Muslim and thet all follow the same play book. His speech at the rally was very good, but if he gets put in charge of the Party I suspect a lot of Reform's voters will jump ship.
