Yeah, well, there’s also no quote of Biden calling any other country racist. You did that all on your own. He was actually making a valid point supporting America’s immigant population at what was a conveniently - for gutter media and people who hate real news but love headlines - unfilmed speech. Go look it up. His point wasn’t to badger the other countries. He was defending the economic impact of immigration here by comparing growth with countries who have far lower immigration numbers.The fact is that U.S. has by far the highest by percentage immigrant population in the world (13.5%), and even Japan only has 2.5% immigrants (China and India aren’t even at 1%). All he was doing was putting our citizens first.

@@GreyElder Since 2020, India has had higher emigration than immigration number by year. They also only have a 0.4% immigrant population by percent. India’s population problems are home grown. China is at just 0.1% immigrants, so again, those aren’t outside problems.

@@catgrin No it is not. 60% of Hindus in WB are themselves or progenies of Bangladesh. Same is the situation in Assam, Manipur, Tripura and most eastern and north eastern states. It is not possible for outsiders to understand because you can't differentiate. To you, all people starting from Iran to Myanmar looks the same. The % among non-hindus are even more skewed towards refugees / illegal immigrants.

You might want to look up the numbers. America has 13.5% immigrants. Japan is just 2.5%, China is only 0.1%, and India is only 0.4%. This “blunder” was reported out of context at what was an unfilmed speech. The comment he made was defending the positive impact of immigrants on the American economy. Plenty of people reporting have failed to provide a full quote or note that “xenophobic” (which closed border policies are) is not the same as “racist”. That’s not a word he used, but lots of people are falsely implying that’s what he meant.

In an era where peple hang on headlines, but fail to read articles, it’s incredibly irresponsible to report partial quotes out of context from an unfilmed speech. This information was presented out of context and in a seriously skewed format. For the record: The U.S. has 13.6% foreign-born residents with about half of those now nationalized. Japan is 97.5% native-born Japanese, with 0.6% of immigrants being Chinese. Less than 0.1% of China’s population is immigrants. India, which is still the 14th most popular destination for migrants only has 0.4% foreign-born residents. Biden may have worded it poorly, but his point was valid. Other countries (India included) regularly scream at us for our treatment of immigrants while coming nowhere near our residency numbers. What Biden was actually speaking about was the idea that America’s history is one of being founded through immigrants, and that it’s only by embracing that behavior we’ll continue to succeed as a nation. He wasn’t badgering the other countries. He was defending immigrants here, and making their place in American history, economy, and society clear.

India needs opportunity and investment from the world to help India achieve the project targets for economic growth. Presently, China is bullying India for their neighboring land and soon China will take India’s resources. What does India do, continue its trade partnership with China. India economic potential will be hampered by China attempts to quell India potential. When China gives India a bad deal and India neighboring countries continue marching towards China investments, India will need the US help to overcome future challenges.
