This is the best free chat plugin for WordPress easily! Today let's set up live chat for free on WordPress, customize the chat widget and also set up a knowledge base to help with commonly asked questions. All in 10 minutes :)
Tawk.To Live Chat by tawkto is a superb little plugin, and their business model is designed for free use! They mainly aim to upsell by offering to staff your chat 24/7 for as little as $1 per hour. Though for small websites, you can staff your own chat pretty easily by using a mobile app, which is available for both android and ios.

Nailed it on so many levels! The pace of the video is just right, with excellent audio quality. The diction of the presenter is impressive, too, with clear enunciation and proper pronunciation throughout - a pleasant change!

I added a live chat availability time in GMT on the online and offline messages, then leave it online permanently. Only just added plugin, so good idea on the knowledge base! Need to add in articles :)

Great video, thanks. Just one issue, my knowledge base doesn't seem to be working in the chat, it isn't showing the search for answers box like yours despite it saying it's activated in tawk to. Is there something in wordpress that i have to do to activate it?

Did you measure the impact on page speed? I was using hubspot chat but it added a lot of code and doubled the loading speed so i had to remove it.

Good point, I’ll check - I would probably only run this on landing pages, if you want to totally minimise code for ranking blog posts then don’t load it on those pages

actually chat with someone you didt do that part. typically of you people. been trying to reply can't even see a box to respond and when I respond it doesn't show to them. and you said every other things except the main thing. wow
