In this episode we show you how to replace your water filler inlet door if it has been lost while travelling, including some valuable tips to ensure it stays connected to your caravan or camper! We run through two methods for this fix including full removal of the assembly.

I couldn't remove the sealant. So I pushed the pin into the upper hole and held it there while I placed the door back into position, put some super glue in the door hole then quickly jostled it into position so the pin would drop into the glue.

I've also been slowly chipping away at changing all the dated white fixtures on my '09 expanda to black. That said, I've never had much success with the mains attachment on these units, with lots of hose blowoffs or persistant leaks/drip. I ended up re-routing the mains point to under the van, which has solve all of my problems. Wish I'd seen your tips on the use of the butyl tape beforehand though, seems a great option. Nice comprehensive video mate.

I found it easier to disconnect the hoses from inside and removing the box completely. Extra couple of minutes but much easier. Well for me it was

thanks for the tips. the caps on those water fillers had s a bit concerned, they don't seal at all and fall off when you look at them. we use some small rubber plugs, like in the jayco sinks and basin.

Thanks, I just needed to see how to change the door & you were first cab off the rank & it worked. ...but, how do you remove the key once the cover is locked, it has the silly tabs on the key, so when you lock it, the tabs are locked in too so the key can't be removed?

Great Video. I think those filler doors are so flimsy... I have to do the vent on the main door, so hurry up and replace yours!!! 😆 🤣

Hi Troy, I'm not sure what you mean by door window? Camper door window or a caravan camec style? I don't have one but could look into it 👍

@Work Live Play I have a jayco hawk camper van with the entrance door that folds up when you pack everything up,the perspex window has fallen off,I was just going to put it back on with double sided tape or something like that🤷‍♂️

Another great video. I have seen a lot of US based videos that use a butyl type tape for sealing the roof or covering/sealing solar panel installs. Do you think that is a viable option?
