Ganz tollen Kanal.. Daumen Hoch 🙂

@@PhantasiaMusic Ok, so after some time I re-watched (twice) your video and I have some things to point out: First of all, thank you so much again for sharing this live stream! It's always nice to see other people's creative process, and there's always something to learn. The whole composition kinda reminded me of "arrival to earth" from the transformers OST, it sounded epic but also emotional. Kudos to you about that! I liked a lot the way you explain every single action you did, it was really didactic. For example, when a note sounded too hard, you could just lower its velocity and go on, but aside from doing it, you narrated "I'm also going to lower this velocity a little..." it may sound stupid, but when I began composing and had no clue about DAWs, this kind of info would have been really helpful. As a FL Studio user, I have to admit that I like how automations are organized in Cubase, it all looks clean and tidy :P And about the libraries... 1) I LOVE how that gran cassa sounds, even by default. I fell in love in the very first hit, really. 2) For Merethe Solvedt vocals, aside from legato, I think there are also preset phrases. If you merge parts of phrases with legato notes, you can achieve more melodic lines beyond "aaaaaah"or "oooooooh", though sometimes can be tricky (and tedious). As a final note...My strings are always colour red. My percussion is always blue. Wars have been started over less. xD In all seriousness, great job with this stream and hope to see more of them!

I was so surprised that you share a very meaningful video😲😲😯I think this kind of skills are your own, unique and talented skills and it seems like you made a really big talent donation. It is really, really good content for just normal people in terms of free lesson😅 As you know, I don't compose anymore, so I rarely followed your tutorials. And also. I think we have to pay a little fee to watch this video😅😅😅 That's way too much for us. Super interesting and instructive video from you Tom! Like the way you explain things and also how you go into the features of Cubase that you use, could learn a few things. Jaeger from Audio Impera seems to be a cool library. I am a bit dissatisfied with my choir, do you have some recommendations? The way you work seems to work well for you and the way it sounds is pretty good too. I am not a know-it-all, but I don't want to keep things from people if they might be useful to them. Here are a few ideas I learned that you can try if you want and maybe bring you further: - For me, picking out instruments takes a lot of time, I have created a template with all the standard instruments I use frequently. If you don't have one yet, I can recommend this to you. - When I quantize, I make sure that the midi notes have a few ticks difference so that it sounds a bit more realistic, especially when using many instruments. Under quantize there is a button for it. - For the brasses it makes sense to leave a gap between the midi notes, as real players also need a break to breathe in. It sounds more realistic, but not better in every case. Maybe it helps you, maybe not. :) By the way the track reminds me of the movie Gladiator, it is really beautiful! Thank you for sharing your knowledge and how you work!

Hey Fabian! Thanks a million!!🤗 Awesome comment - honestly!!:) I was often thinking about creating a template but haven’t done it so far - but I should definitely do that!! @PhantasiaMusic
@PhantasiaMusic Жыл бұрын
Hi Kraney, each instrument has its specific range! That means it’s not possible to play a violin in the lower octaves or play a double bass as high as a violin. So just try to play a melody or some notes within that area - it doesn’t have to be the lowest or highest note possible but in the middle of that specific instrument range it should sound pretty good! And yes - trusting your ears is also always a great advice!;)

Hi Rebecca! That’s difficult to answer... Jaeger is a Kontakt library. That means you have to load the Kontakt Player in Cubase 11 and when you have added the Jaeger library in Kontakt you should see it there! If you cannot even find Kontakt - you have to download the free Kontakt player first and move the kontakt.dll file into your VST Plugins folder! Hope that helps!;)
