@@user-wi1xw5sd1c Even if by some miracle, because that's what it would take. Farage became the PM, he would need a majority in Parliament in order to affect change. Otherwise his policies are pretty useless, as the opposition would vote them down. Even then, getting a bill to the house of Lords - they would most likely vote down any bill Farage and his cronies could drum up. We've seen this time, and time again with the proposed Rwanda plan from Mr. Sunak.

@@calzirongaming1332 Ordinary boomers and Gen Xers tend not to assign ideological labels to political parties. For all their collective faults as a generation (mainly the boomers), I find this to be particularly refreshing. Also, it's worth noting that Reform has a wide variety of beliefs across the political spectrum within its ranks. The Brexit Party that it came out of even had people who could accurately be described as Marxists, despite its capitalist-leaning economic policy. But of course, it's not entirely capitalist, because everybody with a brain knows that a mixed economy is the only possibly format. It's genuinely about reforming british politics, as the name implies. You'll see an abolishment of the House of Lords in their upcoming manifesto, for example. At least if they're consistent from prior ones. That's pretty cool, lots of different types of people can get behind that.

Nigel’s idea to increase the tax threshold to £20,000 is a brilliant idea if properly executed and funded. We won’t have to raise the minimum wage yet again which is strangling small businesses, it’ll put considerably more money into peoples pockets as opposed to a tax cut and it could lead millions out of absolute poverty and the benefits system.
@ZEE15uk

Nige was also the first to mention putting money back into training the British people into the jobs we import people for. Also I quite like the higher national insurance contribution for businesses that want cheap workers. In fact I like everything about Reform. Big Nige is the way forward, in my opinion.

@JackCooper243 4 күн бұрын
@@christopherlloyd-roberts2205 Cuts probably. I think part of the idea is that if we get a lot of people off welfare we can then take that money and invest it elsewhere. They had a conference about how they would fund it but I honestly can’t remember. Something to do with the way the Bank of England works I’ll have to try and find it again. The big issue is that these other parties are offering tax cuts but realistically it’s only going to save the average person a couple hundred pounds maximum which I just don’t think is enough in todays economy. It might give people a bit of breathing room when buying necessities but it’s not keeping money in peoples pockets. It depends on if you’d think a riskier more radical approach could be a better alternative long term.

@@prf7237 Extremely short-term solution. We need to either fix the economy so people can have kids to replace those who are retiring, or bring in immigrants to do the same thing (but is cheaper and easier for the government and benefits massive corporations due to allowing lower wages). Disabled people are not the problem, the problem is the huge number of people retiring compared to the tiny number of births. Of course, just to make myself clear, I'm not against retirements. I'm against an economy where workers are exploited so much that they can't afford a house and parenting expenses (especially if they want to use the old-fashioned "one parent works, one stays at home to care for the kid" type of parenting). Remember when y'all were telling struggling parents "Don't have kids if you can't afford it?". Young adults are now taking your advice.

Farage was absolutely right in what he said: tax relief for those paying private health insurance that will directly fund the NHS and improve quality of service. I want to pay into a private insurance because the NHS is so terrible I can’t rely on it if I have an emergency. I’ve seen a man with a malfunctioning pacemaker waiting in an emergency queue and he passed out 3 times in 20 minutes because his pacemaker kept failing. It took 29 minutes and 3 times for him to lose consciousness for the nurses to bring him in the front of the queue. That is absolutely appalling! It’ll be even better for me and more affordable if Reform give us tax relief. Same cost, better return.

@jakkuwolfinsomnia8058
@jakkuwolfinsomnia8058 4 күн бұрын
@@NoNo-nr2xv precisely my point, I would even reduce the demand for employees by automating in every area I could. Automation removes all the variability that comes with employees and minimises cost. It’s not about money, it’s about the model. We have to optimise every single aspect of the NHS hospitals, clinics, services we need to simplify it in every area right down to the structure of the hospital. Design a hospital that minimises the duration from any one point to another point so the process is streamlined, sustainable and scalable in every area. It’s a complicated challenge but with solid focus, logical and intelligent planning, designing, refining and execution it can turn our NHS into a revolutionary healthcare system but first things first: fix the broken model and turn it into a financially sustainable organisation. That’s the only way it’s going to sustainably meet demands of the future and adapt to unforeseen circumstances and demand volatility

Nigel is 100% right but the career big parties don't want to admit it as they don't want to be called racist and loose their jobs, they want to sound and be politically correct. I have private insurance and i pay for it 100% i never use the NHS and its the best thing i ever done. The NHS is terrible....You get what you paid for......as the NHS is free you wont get much from them and the truth is the NHS is a walk in service so it cant cope with the demand........you cant just get more doctors and nurses and pump more and more money in to it fanaticising that will solve the issues. You will never get enough doctors/nurses and even hospital beds to cope with the demand. You need a 2 tier system like Germany does which puts you in private or NHS type of care depending on your job earning. That will ease the pressure on the NHS which will give better outcomes to the people using it and if we control legal and illegal migration on top i feel that we may see happier NHS work force not been burnt out and better patient outcomes.
@CarboKill
@CarboKill 4 күн бұрын
@@ShanfredMetalfaceNot a single person is arguing for fully privatised healthcare, though. It's never gonna be on the table, either, because no British politician would ever throw away their career THAT spectacularly. Don't get me wrong, some of them are pretty spectacular at it, but the NHS is deemed sacred by the British public. My wife is French, I think the French system has the benefits Nigel says it does: free for the poorest, paid into by those who can. This is already how many public institutions work, given the number of dependents and the lack of a magic money tree. I'm a dependent btw.

What I'm saying is, we are being lied too about what's a bigger impact. I encourage you to look at wealth inequality and it's impact on wealth as a whole. The UK created almost £400 billion of QE during covid, nearly 90% of the ended up in the pockets of the top 1% migration doesn't even come close to that. Not even a dent. I'm not saying it's not an issue in some communities. What I'm saying is we've been conditioned to blame the hopeless while the super rich rob us all blind and the media we consume let's them off. Young people can't afford homes, that's not because there aren't enough homes due to migration, it's because the super rich own an increasingly large chunk of them and lease them back to people with higher and higher rents.

The two party system is a product of your electoral system. The issue is not the system, it’s the two parties than exist inside it. Hoping the SWP replace Labour at some point and Reform can clear the path for a true Burkean Conservative Party.

@@meliora99 are you aware of which nations are the greatest polluters? The UK has had the greatest pollution reduction as a nation and we contribute less than 1% globally. My grandkids will be affected by the pollutants coming from the greatest contributors like China and the rapid industrialisation of third world countries. Global warming is a global issue and will not be resolved by the UK having greener domestic policies, the resolution lies in the international community where if you didn't know we don't hold much weight. But sure let's skim the surface of the global problem and sink our population into poverty!

@@privatedale8558 It's hilarious that you would equate the UK's 2 and a half centuries worth of releasing GHGs with that of industrialising nations like China/India. Relatively we have pumped far more CO2 in the atmosphere since industrialisation, so it's not equatable to just say they release more therefore they are in the wrong. We have both the economic and technological capabilities to invest hugely in renewable energy, and also have large influence globally over what others do. If no one actually takes charge or does anything then nothing is going to be done - us adopting green policies will encourage others to do the same. Even for an industrialising nation, China is a huge investor in renewable energy so it's not as if they aren't doing at all. China will provide a lot of the tech/manufacturing needed to shift our energy mix

@@meliora99 what a strange perspective on logic you have. Who is trying to blame anyone? The problem isn't historical it's a present one. Will greener policies, domestically, magically take back 2.5 centuries worth of pollution contribution? Very weird! The objective reality is that right now there are much greater pollutants than the UK who will ultimately decide our fate, this battle isn't won in the smallest contributors back yard it's won on the global stage with countries who have billions of people. If you think England being the shining beacon of environmental responsibility will convince nations like India China and the USA you are completely delusional, you must think we are some role model for other nations still 😂 how we run the country is of 0 concern and certainly no benchmark for super nations. We are halfway towards our legally blinding pledge to net zero in 2050, while the two biggest China and USA have communicated a target and commitment but don't even have it legally binding 😂 what do you think the UK can do to force them to actually commit? Sanctions? Warfare! You are a typically delusional lefty who can't see past our own history and think we owe the world something. Very sad to see!

@@meliora99 haha you do realise the industrial revolution is a blip in comparison to the rates some countries are hitting now right? Check the figures! What is your point anyway? Seems very strange logically, we cant take back our historical emissions so we should sacrifice our future prosperity to attone for our sins? Weird! Really weird. Also we are halfway through our progression towards our net zero target. China and the US haven't even legally binded their pledge to net zero it's only a "commitment" and they are the two largest polluters! If you think we can be the benchmark and beacon of environmental responsibility for other countries to follow, you overestimate our weight on the global stage grossly, we have no sway in comparison to the super nations, what will we do sanction them? Warfare? Hilarious lefty delusion as usual, cutting their nose off to spite the history of their own face and then crying about it when they realize they are a monster in the mirror. Sad, really sad
