I actually built a gaming PC 2 days ago! 334$ USD (that's rounded up) with a 1050 ti, i5 3570, 8 gb ram ddr3 1600Hz, an 80+ bronze psu, and 1tb HDD. That price does include windows 10 pro... It runs battle field one between 55 and 60 FPS constantly on operations in high impact areas, witch is better than the PS4 pro does. I GOT THE MONITOR FOR MY CONSOLE. I later also built a PC which can and does actually utilize the 4k monitor to its fullest abilities. But I already had the monitor. If they want to be on par with PC then they have to come up with better specs for the same price and do away with the extra costs. Nintendo tries to reïnvent motion controls and portabillity. As a frequent user of both PC and Consoles, it urks my attention that console users use the argument "there are fewer crashes on consoles than on PC", seeing how there's a clear difference that is being overshadowed in this point. Here's the thing with console crashes vs PC crashes. Triple A games developed for consoles almost always go through a testing phase where they make sure the game is bug free and readily playable without having the hastle of having it crash mid gameplay. This is usually the Alpha phase during game production (which focuses more on working out bugs and crashes, making the game run smoother for console), before moving onto beta which is supposed to be a version as close as possible to a demo. Since game developers who work to bring the game to CONSOLE only have to deal with a handful of devices like the xbox, PS, Wii etc. The testing phase is much less taxing because most of the hardware they are working with is representative of what the rest of the people will be using if they buy the game for THAT specific console (this applies even more to games that are exclusive to a single console). As compared to PC where the combination of parts varies from customer to customer is almost every single way. Hence why open and closed beta's are almost always much more abundant on PC rather than Consoles; because they simply cannot test every single combination of parts or "scenario" of the people who will be buying this game on the PC platform. They can only gather as much information as they can in the open and closed beta's from the people who are potentially buying the game. Therefore it is easier to get rid of bugs on a console since all the parts in it would be identical to the ones the consumers will be getting; compared to PC where its consumers have an endless combination of parts (as far as compatibility goes of course) that will be running the game.

Oh boy, dunno how I even listened the whole conversation. I guess it was ok in the end. But anyways there is few points I want to point out. The biggest one is the piracy vs gamestop. When someone buys a game from gamestop, I'd say 100% of those guys wont resell the game back to gamestop to buy a brand new game from a market so the developers get any money. But for piracy, sure I've pirated alot games that I havent bought, BUT I have actually bought some games I've pirated. Sure most of those have been on steam sale since I dont think the games have been worth 20€-50€ but the -25% to -75% has made me buy the game since I've wanted to support the devs even tho I pirated the game year(s) ago and prolly wont even touch the game anymore and just let it rot in my steam library. But the best thing is, I've bought some sequels with full price to games I would have never even touched If I didn't pirate some of their old game. And this is the reason why piracy is not that bad what people think of. Also on the other end, I've had so huge problems in the past with origin (I think it was battlefield 3 or something?) that I've completely stopped buying games on that platform and I will only pirate them untill I find a game so good I will give origin a new chance. 2nd would be about the VR, I do really think it will be a huge thing in the future. Id be amazed if they didn't put effort to dev some amazing shit on that thing. Combine VR with motion sensors etc touchpads what ever, the future of gaming looks bright. It might take decades to dev that well enough that VR gaming comes the new mainstream mode of gaming, but its bound to be happening if people invest enough in it (also there will be some cheap versions as they become more popular, prices have been high always in the beginning, nothing new here). 3rd would be be multi-platform gaming. The problem lies within PC versions of FPS games (funny btw how you brought up Overwatch, the freeweekend was compeltely on blizzards end, not to do anything with consoles, but to celebrate anniversary [it was free on pc also ofc]). Overwatch for example probably had something like that in mind to do in future when they implemented the aim assist on PC as well, to be enabled when playing with a controller on PC. The problem was, within few weeks it was removed, since people used some emulating software to make Overwatch think that you used controller when you were using mouse + keyboard and gave you aim assist. And that's pretty self explaining why they just removed that and most likely that wont ever be a thing (unless people really want to play with controllers against mouse+keyboard). 4th steam. I didn't even know that there was limitations with steam before even tough I have multiple accounts, but then again it kinda makes sense. The problems with cs:go and the spammers and scammers was a real problem and that's how steam decided to deal with it (maybe there could have been better ones, but at least it was fast and easy solution, maybe they will come up with something else later). Also you cant compare those 2. Afaik you have to buy the 12 months (correct me if im worng?) and you have to pay the 60$/€. Also sure, you get some free games but you cant decide what (and according to noobtuber most of the games are pure shit and worth nothing). When you use those 5$/€ on steam you can decide what you want to buy. And yeah, steam throws those free-weekends and free games at you randomly (and btw easiest thing to spot a scammer account was looking at the other guys library and it was full of games, but only free ones). And on a side note, TF2 was not free 2 play at first, it was made f2p by steam like 6 years ago or something. And little extra story here for pro-piracy. When I was younger I used to pirate a lot of music since I couldn't afford to buy it. My mum knew about it and was against it, but when I explained her that most of my CDs I bought was because I discovered those bands with piracy and most of my concerts I went was because of pirated music, she saw some point to it. This was long ago as Im old fart, but youtube etc. didn't exists back then. Now days I don't need to pirate music because you can legally get to know to new bands. Oh and humble bundle used to be like pay 5snt or some thing to get the games but you could pay anything u want over it. And people did pay way more.
