One of the reasons I sold my Nox, nearly every 'sweet' target was a piece of small thick iron like a nut and bolt. Even more so on the field where 90% is farm trash.

I have noticed the Equinox does like nuts and screws. The iron tones are almost silent on those nuts and bottlecaps most of the time. I usually do no dig out too many nuts with my Anfibio or Simplex because they have an obvious iron tonal nuance. The Equinox usually gives a gold ring/pulltab tone on those nuts and thick pieces of iron. This is why I have struggled with the Equinox in relic dumps. The Anfibio and ORX shine in relic dumps

G2/F19. Rock solid ID system, EMI immunity, superb and simple audio. Will find stuff right along with these two machines!

Yes indeed! That FT19 kHz platform is outstanding, especially with the white FT solid 5x10, which is the correct coil/MD union, in my op. I'd no way sell my old G2+. Wonderful on Roman and Medieval home sites, for me. NO BS. Keep it simple, but good, no silly multi-myriad 'frills', just honest, reliable ability.

I got the other version of the F19 in the Time Ranger Pro ran through the Bounty Hunter line and it's the cheapest of them all. Mine especially since I got it free lol. Also adding a Kors Scout coil to this machine adds another almost 2 inches of depth for about 100 bucks and still remains super light.

I have always enjoyed using XP detectors, I have borrowed a buddy’s OXP for about a month and really had great success with it in areas I had been over numerous times with my Nokta. XP is now offering an upgrade package for the ORX and DEUS I to make it more DEUS II like apparently, but I haven’t seen the details. Many ORX owners seem to ask for some software upgrades to address things like lack of volume control w/out headphones among other changes. I am thinking with Garrett coming out with their new Vortex modem from their recently announced stor series, we may see XP come out with some new offerings. We’ll see… I’d like the ORX even more if were in the $400+ price range as theri are many decent Simulatanous Multi-Frequency detectors now in the $500+- range.

Orx was all clicky and popping and VDI was all over from 90s to 70s. Obvious bad target. Nox has a compressed VDI scale which shows more stable numbers but not as accurate . Just gotta learn your orx machine . Totally different beast

Hey Jeremy nice comparison. I must say i didnt have the same results with my orx. It did very well on foil here. The I.D. left me ultimately wanting a machine with better i.d. I think the beep dig guys will be swinging this machine a long time. Its crazy light fast and does good in iron. Ive said it before ill say it again your the hardest workin guy in the game. Keep em comming bro...hh..RD

I feel much more comfortable with the ORX now that I have a few more hours on it.

My ORX has no issues with foil. I also find that with the ORX and DEUS the tones play a bigger role. I don't rely as much on VDI with them vs the Nox. Lastly my XP detectors do a much better job in iron infested areas vs my Nox 800. Both are great machines.

Based on the sound nuance on 1st dig. Its definitely not a signal I would of dug with xp. All about nuance on the xp. Also the 9in round hg does so much better. Still love my nox tho

Do you ho with orx on water? Is water kit necessary with antenna?
@PaystreakSuperfreak3 жыл бұрын
I will not get any non waterproof detector near water. I have seen so many detectors get flooded out through the years because someone took a non waterproof detector near or in the water. Accidents happen man!! The ORX and Deus are not waterproof machines.

What is the best coil for the xp orx?
@PaystreakSuperfreak2 жыл бұрын
It rally matters where you are hunting and how deep you want to dig. HF coils are good in trash but not super deep seekers on coppers and silvers. X35 coils are deeper but struggle on low conductive targets like small gold. X35 coils consume more battery power too. It is always good to have more than just 1 coil option. The ORX does struggle in modern trash and in EMI.
@jshan82052 жыл бұрын
@@PaystreakSuperfreak ok thank you. I was looking at getting one mainly to work iron infested spots. I was looking at the little elliptical coil.
@sirkyoj13 жыл бұрын
The vanquish 540 hits the same on foil.
@PaystreakSuperfreak3 жыл бұрын
My Anfibio does it a little bit. The Equinox is just deadly at pinpointing low conductive targets and with a stable ID and tone. The Equinox does not get fooled much with foil.
@dirt_tones2 жыл бұрын
I have neither detector so I can't say which one i consider better but man could you be anymore bias towards the Nox. From what I saw the ORX was the best there on multiple targets C'mon man. Not to mention that Nox sounds like a flute.
