11 жыл бұрынHours before the 2013 B96 Pepsi SummerBash, DJs from across the nation squared off at the Boom Entertainment & B96 National DJ Competition.
After hundreds of entries, five qualified for the Semi-Finals - DJ Kwest, DJ B, DJ So-Real, DJ Midas Touch, and DJ Mr.Shaw.
The Semi-Finals round took place live at Toyota Park in the presence of Celebrity Judges such as DJ Flipside (Jumpsmokers & B96 Mixmaster), Trentino (2013 National Redbull Thre3Style DJ Battle Winner), DJ Speed, and Marquee (Jumpsmokers).

+nathan oshea Just keep practicing. Like anything else, the trick to learning how to scratch is daily practice. There are a million good tutorial videos, but they can be frustrating if you try to take in too much at once. I suggest checking out a couple basic tutorials and practicing that daily until you feel comfortable. I've been dj'ing for 16 years and I still learn something new every time I have a scratch session with my buddies. There's ALWAYS something you didn't think of or something you discover. NOTHING will set you apart more from the dj field today, though, than being proficient at using your tables like instruments, regardless of what digital interface you're using. If you can scratch, you'll blow minds every time, both in the crowd and with the guys waiting to get on the decks or just getting done. There's nothing more satisfying that opening a set and coming out of another dj's set with some really creative scratch routine. If you're particularly creative about it, you can heist EXCELLENT samples from youtube and use ableton or even something like audacity to create your own scratch sentence tools, as well. It was a DJ Battle for a radio station! The crowd was a Top40 crowd so as a DJ you have to play to the crowd. The other DJs played songs not on the radio and didn’t even get a crowd reaction. Shaw’s Top40 choice got everyone engaged hence why he won.

the cross faders.. have options if you want to cut or curve. and pioneer faders are very loose.... so yeah
