I hate to be "that" person, but I am kind of a spelling nerd...it's perjury. And to address your point, D A M N soon I hope!!! Their testimonies were awful! Watching Emma was like watching a robot with dying batteries. Not one word of their testimonies came out as believable!!!

Yeah - I had t hat same question. Ouch. I read up on how often people are charged with perjury, and a lawyer said that it wasn't very often unless it was a capitol crime (i.e., murder) and could have a pivotal effect on the case. (This might qualify.) The reason they don't usually pursue perjury charges is because public prosecutors are so buried that it isn't worth it. But I think this one seems to have been sufficiently egregious that it's worth making an example of. "Don't lie for your possibly psycho, possibly murderous father."

I think charging the others like Melani P would be the wiser plan. She tried to have Brandon taken out and even set up her own kids to end up in the back yard. I see that as a far greater danger to society. If a mother would do this it is pretty easy to see how dangerous she could be to others.

So Tylee was burned at another location on the same day Chad was on his property burning limbs while his location is turned off. Yet Alex location places him on the Daybell property on the same day. Both coincidentally discarding unwanted items. Each unaware of the other. Sounds completely plausible 🙄 RIP Tylee 💜

Why do defense attorneys think that raising their voice and being condescending impresses the jury? Because for me it is a complete and total turnoff. In fact I would be inclined to tuned out and disregard anything that attorney had to say going forward.

If you notice, they typically only raise their voices when they have someone in a state of being caught in a lie or fishing for one. They do this not only for the obvious reason, but it also puts the witness in a state of confusion and throws them off their intention, they are more likely to slip into some truth of what happened because of instinct and memory.

It seems that this particular defense attorney MIGHT have MAYBE paid one cent(one penny) for “acting lessons”, and as he is proving, he was overcharged for those “acting lessons😁. It ALSO appears that he MIGHT have MAYBE gotten the “acting lessons” from the same source as did Darryl Brooks(watch Brooks during his closing arguments & his yammerings before Judge Dorow sentenced him).

Emma is definately in on all this. Shes there when the life insurance is upped. She receives money. She doesnt want to help law enforcement. She doesnt seem too shocked or care that two children are found on her fathers property. She lies about her mothers death. She doesnt want to see the autopsy. If that was me id be very interested in it. She met Lori very quickly after her death . Even that doesnt raise alarm bells. Theres no sadness and puts her mother down She now has no problems living in the home. I guess Tammy just living her best life and is in a safe place.

These kids were raised by a guy that is the Priest, the Head of Household who is also a self-proclaimed Prophet. They were financially reliant on him. Sorry, but irrespective of what jobs they do, they don't come across very bright. They've been sucked right in. They're alive because they're willing to go along without question. They still follow their father and lie for him from behind bars. Not the first time this has happened in these off-shoot cults. Just my opinion.

I think she's terrified of losing her dad, her identity, her world. . . so she will say anything she thinks her dad wants her to say, even if she knows it's a lie. It's basically a subjective reality that she lives in, based on fear.

In the eyes of the world, Emma lost all credibility when she took responsibility for googling the wind direction prior to the disposal of Tylee. Huge mistake to allow both her and Garth to testify. Let's hope they get charged with perjury.

See: "1:39:00 “is that an example of confirmation [bias] when you take into account all these other reports, documents and statements of people who are not present at the murder” - John prior"

I think Pryor will be putting Emma and Joe out and hope J.J family will purchase land in protection of where Lori, Alex and Dear old dad Chad Daybell killed and tortured their dead bodies afterward. He was not decent to either child. It makes you wonder if Lori and Chad was able to stop investigation if Garth and Emma next in line to be killed.

I don't understand why the "projector screen" is necessary if it's not being used. It would be much easier to view the trial with three splits and with the witness filling the bottom. Also, it would be helpful to put the "names" of the defense, prosecution, and judge after the name of each screen 😊

It was in session but most of the morning were discussions without jury presence. There were three rebuttal witnesses and one was jaw dropping…Garth’s coworker at the haunted house. Court ended at noon Idaho time and will resume on Tuesday. No proceedings tomorrow.

From what I understand he attempted to recuse himself from this case. He was concerned that he is not a "death-penalty" lawyer and would not be able to handle everything on his own. But, the judge denied his request. And, apparently Prior is not getting paid because Daybell doesn't have the funds.

IMO he knows he can't win and he hates Chad as much as we do. BUT he has to pretend to be trying in order to not have a mistrial declared due to ineffective counsel. He's doing his job...all defense lawyers make me sick but then again it's their job. Ick IDK who on earth would want to be a defense lawyer

Chad should have plead guilty, he would have saved all the money they killed for and saved his children from having to be put through all of this. He made choices and should suffer the consequences.
