Inspired by bands and musicians doing cover versions of dubstep songs we decided to write our own and record it in an old warehouse.
The entire song was recorded LIVE in one take. No playback, no looped samples, no BS. We did a few video overdubs to turn this into a nice visual impression. This one time project evolved into

It`s a mini kaoss pad from korg with a self-made holder... Just look for it in online music stores. The sound goes out of my guitar through a bunch of distortion effects then to the input of the KP, from its output to a delay and a reverb, then to the amp. I might make a detailed video for that in the future... For this song I just used one of the loop presets, but you can generate "wobbles" as well by using the lowpass filter preset.

Thank you for your comment! The snare and the kick have additional triggers, and these triggers are connected to a laptop, where the samples are coming from.

I'm not an expert, but this would classify more as dubstep than skrillex does. What you're thinking of is brostep, which is incorrectly titled as dubstep all the time.

I love this song! You guys are really good! I would suggest that your brass players should wear black lipstick to try and match the full face masks like the rest of the band. But overall sound is good, and the lead singer has a beautiful voice!

The problem is that sound compression is very important in dubstep, in fact for me most important, without good compression it just doesnt sound good. You should try set heavy compressor over all stuff and they play. I think it will work well ;) respect for trying something original and ... peace :)

Not bad, although the kick and snare sound sampled. So, if that is the case...is the drummer just playing hats and cymbals? I don't see any electronic drums in that kit. That aside, this is quite original!

I like this alot. You guys wrote a great song. I saw this from a video reply from the pinpall or w/e. I just don't like your drops. This whole genre is about the drops and your drops aren't as easy to head bang to as lets say cinema by skrillix. Great concept great camera work great setting. Keep playing guys make more originals. You guys are doing something i want to see at a music festival.
