Chaya Phum (spelling ?) in Issan up from Bangkok for a holiday back in the day. Farm in the middle of nowhere. Nice and rustic to meet her mother (bargirl from Bangkok for 4 years and one of many before in the past.) and father and family. It was by a holiday festival I think for the farmers.while we were there and a big community event. Taken through the fields on the back of family motorbikes with her and the family piled into a motorbike trailer. Got there in the middle of nowhere in the fields and a huge open stage. Families having picnics under the trees and food carts with a big show. The local wine was like pure white lemonade and pale in colour. Rocket fuel and wouldn't think it was alcohol and very sweet. Later the dj came on and people started dancing on the dance floor to traditional dance music. As the night progressed as the music turned more upsteam Thai music but still old bands, singers and artists. Legs were out and kcking forward too and frow. The teenagers all dancing like crazy :-). ( no kidding ) Dust of the makeshift concert dance area filled up with dust through the stage lighting beaming down and out. Reminded me of spike island and the stone roses ;-) :-) day when Paul Oakenfold done the warm up.)Yep, that lemonade was strong. Took a few bottles home to her parents house end of the night after meeting everyone in the community there. :-) That was an experience :-) :-) Yep, Amazing Thailand.

Koh Lanta is a good call Ed, it's a great island. Going to be spending 10 days there late Feb. It's a chilled place, kick back and relax.

Yet another beautiful beach location. Haven't yet got down to Koh Lipe yet but still on the bucket list.

Never been looks great. I much prefer visiting places that I haven't been to before. Looking at the map is it easy to get to Phuket from there? Nice to see someone enjoying the sun whilst we're all freezing in the UK. take care eddy catch you next time mate
