People have such short memories and don't seem to realise that sport at the highest level comes down to the finest of margins, some examples - if Lingard scored that sitter in 1st half vs Croatia, if Rashford scored his penalty, if Kane didn't miss that penalty Vs France, and even if Rice or Guehi scored against Spain we may all be having much different conversations.

regardless on how people feel about southgate the guy took us to back to back euros finals. the next manager has got big boots to fill. I cant see anyone doing any better as i feel the players are overrated. It wasnt southgates fault that they couldnt string more then 2 passes together in the final.

Why do the media continue to go to Allardyce for his so-called "insight" ? He's just anothertalking head along with others like Harry Redknapp - decades in the game as players and managers but never achieved any significant trophies or made any real contribution apart from being ready to give an opinion if there was a quid in it. Both out of touch with what the game has become in the last 20 years, why would we care what they think?

@@TurboGomez so we don't start hearing from the lawyers we should probably be clear that his problems have all been along the lines of "allegations" of "improper conduct" that didnt result in actual charges. He chose to step down from the England job, and threatened defamation action over another one, but didn't actually do it. So never been proved that he ever set fire to anything, but sure seems to be surrounded by lots of smoke on more than one occasion! (BTW his record as England manager is Played 1, Won 1 - so statistically the most successful manager ever! Take that Gareth, Sven, Fabio and the rest of you!!!)

It won’t make one bit of difference whoever takes over. The FA need to restructure the Prem, when a major tournament is in the same calendar year. Then maybe, just maybe, Fresh players, fit athletes, ALL giving it 100%, may just bring home a trophy, and change the past 58 years of burnt out players in our footballing History. 🤔 Thanks Gareth, huge efforts, much respect 🙏🏻🙏🏻

Please not Potter. England will regress under him. I don't care if the next manager is English or Foreign. It has to be the best man for the job. Someone who can take the foundations that's been laid and build on them to take us forward.
