What I find astonishing and awe-inspiring is Bernie's incredible resolve and resilience. America led the world to the Moon and is entirely capable of leading the greening of the world. The fossil fuel industry has been told for decades that their industry is doomed and, effectively, that they must have an exit strategy that will provide them with another green source of revenue. It's not as if they have not had enough money to stash away for this kind of inevitable structural shift. Did they really think that business is all about profit taking rather than profit making? The great industrialists and entrepreneurs of the past would despair at the dead-handed zombies presently posing as the captains of American industry.

Bernie formed a Progressive Caucus in Congress and some but not all of the Lawmakers are well known. Look into it.

However he just didn't get enough votes after being used as a novelty comedy act by TV shows...the same way Ross Perot was 30 years ago. Sanders himself in 2020 quit only a couple of weeks after SC. He won CALIFORNIA but quits because he didn't win SC (which wasn't going to vote Democrat anyway) and another three or four states. He "lost momentum". Bull, he took a payoff or deal of some sort and tossed on the towel. He either didn't want to be president, but to be famous....or far less than 50% of the democrat core voters didn't want him. Much like the claim of the DNC championing diversity, yet 30 candidates of both genders and all races quickly narrowed to two old white guys from the Northeast, both decades long career politicians that came into their first office broke, and are now worth millions.

Absolutely! He was mugged on his way to the White House. Most of the people running and senator Clybourne figured out a plan. I wish the people of South Carolina would have voted for him anyway. Biden got the votes because of his association with Obama. Bernie would have been an outstanding president, instead we get the corporate democrat.

No here's what happened they ran a clone of bernie (Elizabeth warren) and paid to keep her in the race while everybody else was bought off to endorse biden on the eve of the primary. Ever wonder why pete betjudge is now a cabinet member? And even with Bernie's vote divided by Elizabeth Warren he still almost won.

Most just want to talk and have a lecture tour...Green Party, Libertarians, various Socialist offshoots. None of them make a solid effort to win any one state, but to get just enough if the general across states mythical "popular vote" to get federal matching money. It is a 6 month gig and jaunt. If the two parties ran distasteful candidates that each got 49% of the electors...but an independent got just one state with say 4 electors... Then the EC is in a 3 way tie, all three names go to the Election Committee of 51 votes (each state and DC gets one vote). The independent could be the compromise candidate if the congress is deadlocked. Tulsi Gabbard could have done that with Hawaii alone. At least it would put a scare into the two party corporations that think they have it all figured out if they give pawns bread and circuses.. So, no, i think Sanders never wanted to be president, but as an independent, he wanted to have enough muscle to shout things from the podium at the DNC meeting...and sell some more books. That new lake house isn't going to buy itself.

I’m so ashamed at ourselves when every elderly person I know who’s worked so hard, gets $15 in food stamps a month when they should’ve never needed food stamps in the first place. They did everything right in their lives to retire decent. Why did we allow this to happen 😢

I beg your pardon! I'm 81 years old and though I sometimes cannot find exactly the word I want I'm still capable of critical thinking, I read widely and I have a burgeoning interest in economics. I'm not unusual. What you object to is people who never had any of those abilities or interests. They should not be in government even at 40 years of age. They are in positions of power because money put them there to serve their masters. I'm tired of ageism which is as repressive as fascism or even capitalism. I have been an activist for social justice from the age of 15 years and I have lived and fought through 3/4 of a century of history and I'm not going to be sidelined because I have survived. Please rethink your post!
