Back in May, the so-called Doomsday Cult Mom was convicted of first-degree murder in the deaths of 16-year-old Tylee Ryan and 9-year-old JJ Vallow, and conspiring to kill Tammy Daybell. She was also found guilty of grand theft. The kids' bodies were found buried on Chad Daybell's Freemont County, Idaho property in 2020.
Some family members and Lori Vallow Daybell herself will have an opportunity to speak before Judge Boyce hands down the sentence.

Drs advise restricting rich, fatty foods during pancreas problems and it’s been reported that the kids ate fast food all the time & that Lori only kept junk & snacks in the house. She def has me speculating about munchausen (& adopting a special needs child provides attention).

I’ve seen the lawyers objecting to the victim statements as part of the reviewing process with the judge prior to actually being read in court, but yeah the first time seeing being objected during the read.

I could tell by the way the Judge reacted during this sentencing hearing that he was not buying any of Lori's delusional rants about her cult religion, nor her expressions of love for the victims. Her commentary at the close of the sentencing showed zero remorse, as she went further to state that she has had contact from her murdered children and Tammy Daybell to let her know that she was innocent and they look forward to reuniting with them in "Heaven". Lori assumes that she will be joining them in the afterlife when her life on earth is finished. Her victims may very well be in Paradise, but she will not be there to see them, as she is going to a much hotter place to sit at the right had of Satan.

Kay Woodcock's victim statement ripped my heart out. It was the saddest description of the innocent lives Lori destroyed. I can't even find the right words to express how it struck me, but I'll never forget it. I hope I do forget Lori's fruit loop statement about talking to people in heaven, what the kids are doing there, and how she loves Tammy Daybell...say what??? Wish it was after 5 o'clock so I could have a glass of wine. In the meantime an Advil & a cup of tea will have to suffice, as I never hated anyone so deeply as I hate Lori and Chad.

I loved the way the Judge first of all praised her for having led a law-abiding life to this point, said he felt she was respectful to the Court, also said that she'd been a model prisoner so far. ...She must have been thinking she'd get 10 years, out after 5!! Lol. Then he got down to the real business and said what we all think. Five consecutive life sentences, all without parole.

Most of us can agree that Lori should have gotten the death penalty for what she did, and that would have been proper justice for her crimes. No one will ever know how many murders Lori has truly been involved in. She caused a lot of people's deaths and it was all for the money 🤑 .

Amazing job by the judge, he explained everything to her well and laid it all out for her. No one in their right mind would ever grant an appeal. I do wish mental health rehabilitation was a requirement in her life terms so she will understand the extent of what she has done but whatever, prison for life is the best outcome.

I commend the Judge in this case! The defendant deserved every bit of her sentence and then some! What troubled me MOST OF ALL was listening to her statement where she showed ZERO REMORSE and she didn't APOLOGIZE ONCE for her crimes. Loving Mother? Not a chance in hell. And THAT is where she'll be heading once HER TIME COMES!!! God have mercy on her wretched soul.

I think Lori was tempted to say that she did not committed murder but acts of mercy. Mercy for Tylie because she had suffered too much in her short life. Mercy for JJ because he was autistic and Mercy for Tammy because Lori was stealing her husband away from her. So in the end she is good and mercifull.

I hope everyone understands that this thing's speech clearly shows how monstrous it is. Don't be misled. Notice how carefully it plays for sympathy before and then post murder. It never goes near nor alludes to what it did. Almost exactly what it said to Colby and its sister but now with embellishments. So, we have children in pain, then an enormous blank space and then we have busy happy children and woman in a spiritual realm. It makes me want to vomit.

Boyce turned out to be a very fine Judge. He was fair but saw right through Lori's narcissism. She was so used to swaying people with her "good woman" act that she didn't think she had to address the facts of the case in her statement. As for her Defense, they have a Pollyanna concept of justice. I often sit back and laugh at the idiocy of defense lawyers, at their dissembling, at their false support of their client, but these guys were barely competent. They did save her life, so that is something. Not everyone deserves a defense, but everyone must get a defense to protect the innocent. Unfortunately, the guilty end up getting more protection than they deserve. It worked out in this case, though.

It was on the table until prosecution royally messed it up with their Brady violation so it would have been a death penalty case if not for that but it IS still on the table for Chad though!

I'm sure he's convinced them it was Alex and Lori, he had no idea what they got up to, and Tammys family has it out for him and always has. 🙄 He's a big old goober to most of us, but he seems skilled at manipulating those closest to him.

Chad's kids will get the cold, hard truth when his trial comes. Sadly for the kids, they'll probably go into hiding from shame for supporting him and dismissing the Gramma they can no longer make amends with due to her passing. Chad is a low life man who was in lust so badly that he used the good Lord to manipulate Lori only to meet his disgusting desire to sleep with her. Clearly, most ppl just divorce and go on but these 2 lowlifes had zero means of support. God forbid they get a job and live on their own earnings life avg ppl. The kids were welcome in Any home since they were a burden in daybells eyes. Totally selfish and uncalled for. All the energy it took to pull off these murders could've been applied w/o loss of beautiful lives. I want to shout out to Melanie Gibb for assisting in the investigation. As I watched this trial and heard all the horrific details of an entire family in mourning, it made me realize that this life is full of evil people intent on taking from others to fulfill their own selfish needs. It’s difficult to understand the pain these people are going through and have been through for more than four years. We can only pray that everyone hurt by Lori and Chad Daybell and Alex Cox will be able to move forward with hearts healed one day.

I honestly think she is crazy, talking about how Tylee's spirit visited her. She is clearly delusional. I wish she would accept guilt for her role in this, but I am afraid she will not. I don't think she was there when they killed the kids, so she didn't see their pain..she is going to jail thinking she is innocent and angels will come to rescue her. Crazy,narcissistic woman. Had her family accepted that she was mentally ill,maybe she would have received treatment and people would be alive now.

I won´t say anything about JJ because,sadly, JJ is the only victim who has a voice and people demanding justice while Tylee is almost forgotten even in victim impact statements so I will point out how that murderous black widow killed and tortured that beautiful girl that everybody forgets as it´s all abut JJ and Tammy when Tylee cared for JJ and is the less spoken after suffering unspeakable crimes. I was surprised there wasn't more impact statements. I think Tammy's children aren't there because if admitted lori killed their mother, then they have to believe their father was involved. From what I've seem they believe she died of natural causes, not murder. It's really sad.

Lori Vallow Daybell should have kept her mouth closed. The moment I heard her speak I wanted to vomit because as the judge stated she has absolutely no remorse. As one of Jehovah's Witnesses this case breaks my heart because of the many innocent lives that were destroyed by Lori's selfish actions. For her to quote the bible and actually use religion for her evil deeds is gross and disgusting. The same goes for Chad Daybell. They both are guilty of using religion for their own wicked acts. The judge was right again when he said no God would approve of such deplorable acts. It's scary that she actually believes in her own delusions. I am so glad the jury and judge in this case did their due diligence with regard to the law. Justice was served.👏
