Marcus's VA made me love her character so much more, rent was due she had one shot and damn she delivered😭 Everything was so good in that chapter, but really props to every single VA they made the whole chapter so perfect

All right so I'm going to go on a bit of a rant here and talk about the parallels to tosca in chapter 6 so bear with me cause it's pretty long, First off, the chapter name, E Lucevan Le Stelle is the name of an aria (song) in the opera Tosca sung by Cavaradossi to Tosca before he is to be executed (the calm before the storm if you will) which reflects this chapters role in the main story. Next the characters, every (main) character parallels one of the characters in Tosca some of these are even out right stated by Heinrich, I'll go over each character and how they parallel with the Tosca cast. Marcus is Angelotti (stated by Heinrich) who is an escaped prisoner that arrives to the city (Vienna) to hide away. The main thing here is 'escaped' which I believe refers to how marcus escaped the first storm. Eventually Angelotti comes into contact with Cavaradossi who helps Angelotti hide from the law. Cavaradossi then is Kakania as when marcus and kakania meet shortly after they are running from the foundation and kakania helps marcus escape. However Scarpia, an evil and corrupt chief of police tricks Tosca into revealing Cavaradossi's location in order to find Angelotti. Here you may think that Mr. Karl is Scarpia because he fits the description (corrupt leader of the vienna branch) but in actuality Scarpia is Heinrich, why? Well I'll have to over that in detail later, for now let's talk about Tosca. Tosca is the lover of Cavaradossi who is manipulated into revealing her lovers location which leads to Cavaradossi being tortured, we've already established that Cavaradossi = Kakania which makes it obvious as to who Tosca is: Isolde (which was also stated by Heinrich). Isolde was tricked by Heinrich to reveal Kakania's dream to the public making Kakania a wanted person thus putting her through lots of mental turmoil. Eventually Tosca reveals Angelotti's (Marcus) location to Scarpia which leads to Angelotti commiting sewerslide, obviously this doesn't happen in the main story but keep that fact in mind. Eventually Scarpia says that if Tosca wants Cavaradossi to be free she must sleep with him, tosca agrees but then in a turn of events ends up stabbing Scarpia. This is shown in the main story through Isolde stabbing Karl but as stated before Karl being Scarpia is a red herring, because all though Karl is implied to have at least wanted to sleep with her it is Heinrich who fulfills the role of Scarpia much better. For one he also has an obsession with Isolde, she and her brother are the only ones he revealed the storm to not Kakania, he is part of the Manus (the evil and corrupt organization), and finally is also murdered by Tosca (Isolde). The only reason why he was able to be killed is because he thought Isolde had fully surrendered to the manus just as Scarpia had thought tosca surrendered herself to him, another part is his arrogance, he also thought that Karl was Scarpia because he refused to acknowledge his own faults and how he perfectly mirrored the vile Scarpia (another thing I'd like to note is that chief of police are meant to have good values and his whole being against war schtick is valid he ended up corrupt, hence him being a corrupt chief of police). Back to the Opera it actually ends in tragedy, one of Scarpia's minions kill Cavaradossi and Tosca kills herself because of this. But why didn't this happen? Why did the parallels suddenly stop? Well it's because of one great person, our great lady: Greta Hoffman. It is stated by Heinrich that Hoffman is the "Unknown Lady" in other words she was never meant to be a part of the Opera. She changed the entire course of the Opera ever since she saved Marcus from the storm, she changed it again when Marcus realized she caused the storm. I believe her downward spiral would eventually lead to her killing herself or at least dying by storm just as her character Angelotti did in Tosca. Due to her saving Marcus she caused Marcus to also save our Tosca and Cavaradossi from dying. She convinced Kakania to not end it all by trying to help others (I have a theory that if she were to have left she would've been killed by a manus member just as Cavaradossi had been killed by Scarpia's minions) if Kakania had died I think Isolde would've 100% pulled a Tosca and offed herself too after all Kakania is "the one she cared the most for" - Isolde. But Marcus saved Kakania from death which in turn saved Isolde, Hoffman single handedly ruined the Manus's plans and gave a happier (kind of?) ending to what would've been a repeat of Tosca almost verbatim, a lot of these implications are even more implied if we take into account isolde's character quest which I left out implications from that as to avoid spoilers All of this to say, Greta Hoffman is the best and should be remembered for all she did for us o7

An interesting detail I noticed is that at the very end Kakania switches from "Sie" (formal you) to "du" (informal you) when talking to Isolde.

I know the shorter vods has been posted but I already have this in my "watch later" so here I am at the end of it getting blessed by your beautiful voice I really hoped that I will catch this patch's streams live (or part of them) but I enjoyed watching them later nonetheless Or maybe it's for the best because to be honest this chapter was very personal and as much as I'd like to experience it again with others, I should probably get a break to digest everything (the emotional damage and the lore) Also I didn't expect to like Hoffman and Marcus as much as I did, all the characters had a very good writing even Heinrich as an npc, Isolde and Kakania too don't get me started on these two, our Tosca and our little robin hood🦜 The whole chapter was so tragic, even with the way it ended I think we can consider it a lil victory but at what cost? Sorry I got caught in a ramble but I really have many thoughts after watching the vod it really makes you realise a lot of the stuff you might've missed before but I guess I should stop it here (⁠╥⁠﹏⁠╥⁠)

This boss battle was way too strong for my usual DPS team, so I made a new team of just like follow up attackers consisting of Sotheby at I2 lv50, Jui at I3 lv34, isolde at I3 lv21, and Voyager at I3 lv60 all the DMG they took from debuffs and follow ups really helped

This chapter was very chaotic with the way it suddenly leapt from on tragedy to another... I am still glad to pull for Isolde, but I don't know what to think of her as a character anymore. All I know is that I'll *100%* be pulling for Marcus after that! That boss is also a nightmare without any burn units :') I was only able to beat it because of the amount of follow up attack characters I was using (Jiu, 37, & Lilya) along with Yenisei. -Let us hope their is some kind of good news next story update.- < Copium.
