Күн бұрынLIVE COURT CAM: MA v. #KarenRead - DAY 6 - Testimony continues in the murder trial against Karen Read. Read is accused of murdering her boyfriend, Boston Police Officer John O’Keefe, whose body was found in the snow outside of a fellow Boston officer’s home in Canton, Mass.
Prosecutors have said Read hit O’Keefe with her car and left him to die in the snow.
But Read’s defense team has said she never hurt O’Keefe and that she is being framed by the true killers, who may have been inside the house where the body was found.

Judge wasn't implying the jurors time is more important, she asking the Prosecution and Defense to respect the jurors by keeping the case moving ....essentially make your arguments, present your case and move on.

This is UNBELIEVABLE... The carelessness of securing evidence, the carelessness of the insecure crime scene, carelessness of witness statements or lack thereof, etc. etc ETC.! WTF!? The INTEGRITY OF This ENTIRE investigation is QUESTIONABLE to say the least! The more I watch, the more infuriating it is! I'm beginning to understand WHY the Citizens have no respect for their police department.... And whether KR is guilty or not is almost impossible to prove because of their INEPT police work... Way too much room for reasonable doubt. I don't know if they are just THAT incapable or just plain ignorant. SMH 😮

I guess when You have people in positions of power, things can happen where someone may need there friends to back them up, even if it is wrong to do so and when the alternative is Prison, imagine what you would want from friends in positions to protect you, add on top of that one cop scratching another cops back and then needing the favor returned Yeats later

It's bonkers that after 8am the crime scene was no longer a crime scene and completely open to anyone and anything. Essentially ZERO investigation was done.

I don't have a dog in this fight one way or the other, no pun..But good God! This judge is atrotious & obviously does not have a neutral bone in her body. She comes across as annoyed at every single point the defense (who is rock star on their game, btw), makes?? Got to be a close connection w/ Judge Beverly Cannone and one or more of the crooked cops responsible for Officer O'Keefe's death! Worse judge ever, can barely stand to watch it because of her highly condescending attitude toward defense!!

And so far, not one detective, paramedic, or any other state witness has been truthful. All I've heard so far are a bunch of "I don't recalls" and loads of semantics game-playing. What a shame. The state should be ashamed of themselves.

There is a severely injured cop in the yard of Brian Albert's house & Lang sends Jennifer McCabe in to tell the homeowners he's going to need to speak with them? Are you kidding me? Lang doesn't know if there are other injured people that could be in the house or what happened. It's one of 2 things, either Lang is completely incompetent or he already knew they were going to frame Karen.

If he was in the house, how did he get out? was he taken out? How many people does it take to carry a 6.2 foot tall man to the edge of the property? How many tracks would that leave in the snow? Are there any traces that prove this?

I agree & wouldn't it be something if the CPD has done there due diligence & at least look SOMEWHERE for a matching glass? At the bar... In the house...the base of the glass was still in tact & should have been easy to compare with. Just a lot of "shoddy" more like SHITTY police work.

If the glass was from the bar, that would mean he wouldn’t have made it inside the house. If he was beaten up and dragged outside, he did well to take the glass with him while unconscious. I don’t believe this is a set up at all.

It is upsetting that a police officer died and the investigation is an afterthought and the investigation was not handled as a priority from his local law enforcement colleges in his neighborhood.

this last, very short witness tetimony was calculated. Instead of jurors going home thinking about the 2002 incident of Lank, they will have seen that defendants right tail light is broken, i e it is shorter than the left one

I was undecided until today. John O'Keefe's brothers face at the end (when he looked carefully at the image of her parked vehicle) said all I need to know. That rear light is broken...

@@Rach33ful If you know the facts of this case, you would know the image is meaningless, except that it supports the defense. You'll learn this when the defense cross-examines the witness tomorrow. Nothing in the image that proves KR reversed at speed and ran over John O'Keefe. Stay tuned!

I don't know if there's been a cover up or not but in my opinion the way they handled the scene and the witnesses the morning of the incident was done so poorly. I don't know if that's bias, a lack of training, or lack of experience in handling homicide (or possible homicide) scenes. They should have done a way better job.

that face sheet is damning. they tried to change the photo that anyone and everyone viewing the report would would see first. also, why would anyone but Sgt Goode be updating HIS report? wouldnt they be update their own report? I mean basically Goode is saying he doesnt know who put that photo on the sheet...that is total BS

What is the point in wearing evidence gloves, if you have not taken them from a sealed pack, have touched the outside of them with your bare hands, then once the gloves are on he proceeds to touch the area around him. And then after taking the evidence out of the bag, proceed to place it on top of the box. Surely the outside of the box will have been exposed to many elements. Crazy!!! Worst trial I have ever watched. Appalling judge 👩⚖️

I’m interested in this whole trial, and what both sides have to offer. However this Judge presiding over it seriously upsets me. Throughout this whole trial and pretrial she has done nothing but huff and puff. Like TURN YOUR MICROPHONE OFF IF YOUR SO MISERABLE! Good lord it won’t even be her time to speak and you hear her huffing and puffing. Regardless who wins there is still someone that’s dead, have some class. Lord. 🤦🏼♀️😡

I 100% believe she is on the side of the prosecutor (police) in this case. She is very biased & it is so disgusting how she makes her deep Darth Vader sighs at the Defense! She keeps pounding them about not “wasting” the jurors time yet SHE keeps calling sidebars, taking breaks & only having 1/2 days of court! I have never seen a judge rule on an objection without grounds for the objection & in this case the state has NEVER provided grounds for their objections! I’ve always seen the lawyer (prosecution & defense) call for sidebars, RARELY the judge! This trial is a flipping JOKE & I feel horrible because Karen’s life is on the line & I believe there needs to be Justice for John O’Keefe!

Am I the only one that thinks it’s ridiculous to think if there is a loyalty or friendship to one person in a family that loyalty extends to the rest of the close family? On my third day in a new school some girls wanted to jump me in the bathroom. I told my sisters best friend (whom I was not close with prior) that some girls wanted to talk to me in the bathroom. She pulled off her earrings put her hair back and said let’s go talk to them… she was my sister’s friend and so she had my back too. I think it’s relevant!

The disgusting way these keystone cops handled every part of this investigation is horrific. Imagine in 2024 zero videoed interviews of defendant and witnesses? This is why so many innocent people are convicted of crimes.

This is so aggverating Julie on her dayly docket is saying what how they get rid of the foot prints look my son is fla police man and I am for what's right but any one as smart as Julie should know when snow is falling down it covers up the foot prints he was probly paying out there being cover up by snow not long after she dropped him off for one no way backing over anyone in there break lights could make deep fresh gouges or give him puffy eyes like he fought Mike Tyson And was bit by dog on his arms these are bad cops beat up good cop they might not ment to kill him unless they planned it had in mind we'll do this frame her not have to worrie about Mr goodie tuusssue telling on us .I can't even watch court tv when there on there saying stuff that just can't be possible cuz this or that trying keep people from seeing truth snow covers up prints I think court tv all of ya in in the cover up that's not looking and saying truth about the evidence makes me worried that if my son gets hurt ya all will blame anybody and try tell me evidence is not what I sm seeing and play me stuoud like i don't no anything. Was dna performed on the cup? If it has his dna then makes sense he went inside. And how did they not find the other shoe? And if his body wasn’t covered wouldn’t there still be remnants of tire tracks in the snow? Especially if she hit him 24 miles per hour backing up which also seems ridiculous
