After closing a fresh all-time high, the Nifty is all set to continue its upward trajectory. The benchmarks closed with triple digit gains, with Nifty shutting shop at 24,443 while Sensex was up close to half a percent at 80,351 levels. On the sectoral front, the IT index ended with marginal losses, while all other sectoral indices ended in the green with Auto, FMCG, Healthcare, and Realty up 1-2% each. Globally, the handover was mixed on Wall Street, with the S&P 500 closing at another record high. In Asia, Japanese indices also traded at record high levels. Meanwhile, FED Chair Powell's statement of holding rates high for too long could jeopardize economic growth; would come as a relief to investors who can now price in a rate cut. Among stocks in focus on Dalal street, look out for Delta Corp, posting its Q1 earnings wherein profit has slumped 68% while revenue is down 30%.
