My brother was an EMT and this guy shot himself in the foot and claimed he got hit by a drive by. Since the wound was straight on top of his foot he had to claim the bullet went threw the bottom of his foot and exited the top while he was running. LoL He was a felon so he wasn't suppose to own a gun too.

Different places handle negligent discharge in different ways. Usually there's only serious trouble if you hurt someone else, damage someone else's property, or have a "reckless" discharge like you're swinging the gun around in a group of people and it goes off. If all you do is shoot yourself or kill the ceiling in your bedroom, you probably won't catch a charge. If you do, it'll probably be a misdemeanor

There is some editing/cutting between reality and the show, and some more between the show and the youtube vid. Sometimes you even have parts cut and inserted before others for the sake of understanding ( and plot twists )
